The soundtrack was the song of the "Kombinaciya" band American Boy, during which Medvedev danced at the alumni meeting in 2011. According to Navalny, FBK acquired the rights to use it in the film from the copyright holders.
After the release of the film, thousands of people took to anti-corruption protests on March 26, 2017.
