The Making of 'Slaughterhouse' (1999)
*** (out of 4)
This fifteen-minute featurette is a sit down with writer-director Rick Roessler who talks about his 1987 film SLAUGHTERHOUSE. Several subjects are tackled including why he decided to make a horror movie, the casting of Buddy, the various money issues and of course the release of the film. If you're a fan of SLAUGHTERHOUSE then you'll certainly enjoy this featurette as the director certainly likes to talk and tell stories about the production. Some of the best stuff dealt with the funding of the picture and the director's need to make sure the investors got their money back. Another great subject deals with the film's release and how it pretty much went on tour with "Buddy" to promote the film in the cities that it was released to.
