The ferry in the first episode is a ferry that has a short run from Laval to Ile Bizard, an island which is the suburb of Montreal.
The church used in the series is Sainte Rose de Lima in Ile Perrot and the cemetery is also in Ile Perrot, at the eglise Ste-Jeanne de Chantal.
