This is the second film of Fairy Tail the movie in the theater. Normally, Fairy Tail is about the story of wizard group adventure and friendship. In this film, there are action scenes when characters adventure to find the "Dragon Cry" that was stolen from their kingdom, and the relationship between characters along the trip is so funny. This film also did a good job as same as Fairy Tail the series.
If you are Fairy Tail's fan, you'll know that Natsu is the main character. He is one of Fairy Tail's wizards who use fire elemental magic. His personality is funny, brave, and very careful of his friends. In this film, you'll see his character development from the series. He calmed down a bit and try to find a way to find his friend. And about my favorite character, Lucy, she is one of Natsu's team and his best friend. In this film, Lucy's character is still the same as in the series, she is kind, smart, and funny. Lucy is the main character too, in this film she's the one who is sympathetic to a girl under the order of the king. So Natsu needs to consolation his friend.
The interesting thing in the film is the location scene and culture of the Kingdom of Stella where the Dragon Cry was stolen too. The sky and crystal on the land are beautiful so characters are like them. The character's costume is also changed because they're in another Kingdom and it's beautiful and fits on the character.
I want to recommend this film to anyone who has never watched Fairy Tail because this film is the movie film, it will end in about 1 hour. And it's funny and exciting to see the characters adventure and do a new thing. As a fan of Fairy Tail, I like this film a lot because I can see the relationship between the characters more than the series and the characters' personalities and skills developed from the series. But I also don't like this kind of painter's line design because it changes the characters' faces.

I feel like who ever directed this movie just everyone to see how well they can sexualise everything, to add onto this, it has more plot holes than a sponge called plot, if you want to watch, do not pay the price to see it

I recommend watching this with friends who feel the same way about Fairy Tail as you do. The less you enjoy the movie, the more you can enjoy the company of your friend and the more you enjoy the movie, there you have the point of happiness acquired by default.

I honestly love fairy tail, it was the first anime I had ever watched and over the years I spent watching it I could never see the fact that the ended to it legacy would be....this. I finished the anime last year, then I read half the manga, but as soon as I watched this movie, it left such a sour taste in my mouth I just couldn't keep going. So much hype for so little love. This really shows how much time I've spent only to be dissapointed.

It's completely a film for kid. Been a Fairy Tail reader for a few years so I bothered to actually watch this movie in theatre but I regret to say I am very much disappointed after watching this movie. The whole story is just too simple and naive. It's a shame that this shitty movie was written by the author Hiro Mashima himself. Expected more of it.

So this looked like fun, judging from the box art and all of the extras included. I've never seen the Fairytale TV show but I figured the movie would act as a competent entry into the universe as long as it wasn't too reliant on material I had not consumed. I was both right and wrong. The movie is extremely simplistic in regards to story but it's also a confusing mess of chaos and utter drivel.
There is a magical artefact of a "Dragon's Tear" that gives whoever wields it enormous power, so, naturally, the big bad of the movie wants to get his hands on it. A team of heroes (who all look identical to each other) band together to stop him in several loud, confusing nonsense scenes of supposed "action" that absolutely did my effing head in! There is nothing to recommend this anime, not even the plentiful, bouncing, busty, buxom babes and the crotch shots that followed them around could stop me from falling asleep.
If THIS is what Anime has become then I'm checking out now. Beautifully animated it may be, but Fairytale Dragon Cry is complete trash and the English dub is frequently quite poor.
