They're Back: The Making of Poltergeist II (1986)

This six-minute featurette is one that they used to show on television back in the day to try and get some attention for whatever movie was being promoted. The movie here is POLTERGEIST II and we get interviews with director Brian Gibson, producers Michael Grais and Mark Victor as well as actress JoBeth Williams, visual effects artist Richard Edlund and effects designer H.R. Giger. If you're a fan of these promotional shorts then I'm sure you'll enjoy this one as it does a decent job at selling the picture. The short really tries to show off the special effects and push this aspect onto the people watching. There's obviously nothing ground-breaking here but it works.
