General Hospital Ratings In A Free Fall Amid Backstage Changes?
General Hospital has been going through some major changes, both onscreen and off. A head writer change in January 2024 gave fans hope of better stories and more air time for beloved vets.
But the storylines from the new head writers weren’t a hit with viewers either. Just months after a promotion, Patrick Mulcahey was out, leaving Elizabeth Korte as the sole head writer of the ABC sudser.
One huge onscreen change was the return of Jason Morgan when Steve Burton returned to the show after a three year absence. But fans were devastated when it was confirmed that Nicholas Chavez wasn’t coming back to the role of Spencer Cassadine...

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease there will be shock in Port Charles as two new Cassadines emerge-danger looms with their arrival! With Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) apparently still presumed dead, the new Cassadine claiming to be the rightful heir for the first time in Cassadine history is a female!
General Hospital Spoilers – New Cassadines-Why Does No One Know Of Them?
These are distant Cassadine relatives apparently, because neither Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) Alexis Davis, (Nancy Lee Grahn) or Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) have ever heard of them.
The older generation now all have died, and Valentin never found any reference to the new ones in the books he found on Cassadine Island after Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) death.

Record market attendance, headline acquisitions by Sony and ongoing interest in starry packages tell only part of the story of a busy European Film Market (EFM).
An event brimming with late-arriving projects gave buyers plenty to consider and the mood was buoyant following what some had cited as the least productive AFM in decades last October.
“People had had a bit of a disappointing AFM in so many different ways, and everyone was ready,” said Ella Field, EVP of international sales at the UK’s Signature Entertainment, who described EFM as the most cost-effective market of the year. “Where there are great films,...

Taylor Swift performs two surprise songs for the acoustic set during every show of her Eras Tour and she has already performed a ton of incredible tracks across the first year of her tour.
The 33-year-old singer is currently on the international leg of her tour and there was recently a rule change.
Taylor previously made a rule that she’s only allowed to repeat songs if she messes them up the first time or if they’re from Midnights, her most recent studio album. Well, that’s no longer a rule!

“This is sort of like a public service announcement … I’ve been thinking, I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward. I don’t wanna limit anything and say, ‘Oh, if I’ve played a song before I can’t play it again.

Sylvester Stallone is an action legend, but at 77 years old, his body is paying the price for years of hard-hitting stunts. In fact, during the second season premiere of The Family Stallone (via People), the actor said that he “never recovered” from one particular stunt in the first Expendables movie, leading him to warn fellow actors not to do their own stunts.
The stunt in question involved Steve Austin body-slamming Stallone against a stone wall. “I did stupid stuff. I was directing Expendables and, like an idiot, I’m doing take 10, take whatever, and I remember one slam and I could actually feel one bang,” Stallone said. “Steve knew. I never recovered from [Expendables]. After that film, it was never physically the same. So I warn people, ‘Don’t do your own stunts.’“

As the European Film Market starts to unwind, the verdict is already in: Even if global economics are rocky, buyers are back and on the lookout. This week, dealmaking has been happening on both star-driven packages as well as arthouse and foreign-language movies.
In a sign that the theatrical business is rebounding, Sony just scooped a pair of splashy packages: “Materialists,” Celine Song’s follow up to “Past Lives,” and “Big Bold Beautiful Journey” starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. Another hot package, David Mackenzie’s heist thriller “Fuze,” headlined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is also close to selling. Movies competing at the Berlin Film Festival are also expected to secure U.S. deals, notably “La Cocina” starring Rooney Mara, and opening night movie “Small Things Like These” with Cillian Murphy.

2023 Drama League Awards winners: Annaleigh Ashford (‘Sweeney Todd’) takes Distinguished Performance
Winners of the 2023 Drama League Awards were announced on Friday, May 19, 2023, at an in-person ceremony, hosted by Emmy-winning reporter Frank Dilella at The Ziegfeld Ballroom. The Drama League Awards honor both Broadway and Off-Broadway productions from the 2022-2023 theater season.
“Leopoldstadt” asserted itself as the dominant play of the season, picking up the Best Play prize. Tom Stoppard’s drama has been perched atop Gold Derby’s Tony Awards odds since we launched the prediction center. With Tony favorite “Kimberly Akimbo” out of the running for Best Musical (the Drama League already considered that tuner for its Off-Broadway run), “Some Like it Hot” cruised to a win in that category. It prevailed over four of its fellow Tony nominees: “& Juliet,” “New York, New York,” and “Shucked.”

Warning: contains spoilers for Series 4 of Unforgotten
It’s been two years since the last season of ITV’s hit crime drama Unforgotten, and at long last it’s back on our screens.
After that shocking Series 4 finale, in which we said a heartbreaking goodbye to Dci Cassie Stuart (aka the incredible Nicola Walker), we’ve got plenty of questions about the Series 5 cast.
In this latest series, when a body is found in a boarded-up fireplace, the team gets to work trying to identify who the victim is, and how long they’ve been there. We also discover that the person filling Cassie’s very large detective shoes as Sunny’s new boss-slash-bestie will be the prickly Dci Jessica James, who doesn’t exactly make a great first impression.
Unlike the previous four series, Series 5 of Unforgotten will also be made available as a bingeable box-set on Itvx as...

Back in 2013 — fresh from playing bass on what would turn out to be one of Van Halen’s final tours — Wolfgang Van Halen turned his attention to his own music, demoing a song he called “Mammoth,” a nod to one of the early names of his father’s band. “It was the first time I felt like, ‘Yeah, I’m ready to do this,'” Van Halen recalls.
Seven years later, that song is finally coming out on the self-titled debut from Mammoth Wvh, his one-man-band. It drops on June 11th.

Jon Batiste (best known as the bandleader on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”) became the crucial musical weapon in jazzing up Pixar’s “Soul”: Batiste not only composed and arranged the jazz compositions for Jamie Foxx’s animated pianist, Joe Gardner, during his life and death struggle between two worlds, but he also served as a direct resource to director Pete Docter, co-director Kemp Powers, and the character animators. The importance of this can’t be stressed enough: the “Soul” original score has just qualified for Oscar eligibility (ahead of the shortlist announcement on February 9) with its highly unconventional dramatic scoring and underscoring.
“The film is tackling a few heavy existential questions,” said Batiste. “Where does our soul come from? What is our purpose in life? And I had a lot of experience as a musician that I could bring to Joe, trying to get his big break.

In a key scene from Pixar-Disney’s latest film “Soul,” the protagonist, Joe Gardner, a frustrated middle-school band teacher yearning to be a jazz pianist, describes moments of sublime musical creativity as being “in the zone.” While that state plays a pivotal role in the film, it also describes the rarified atmosphere that pianist Jon Batiste is occupying these days.
Known for his day job as the bandleader on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” the 34-year-old New Orleans-born, Juilliard-trained keyboardist contributed the crucial jazz component to “Soul.” He’s up for two Grammy Awards at this year’s (delayed) ceremony and will release another album, “We Are,” on March 19, but his music in “Soul” is generating even more critical kudos these days — and 2021 Oscar buzz.

Taylor is celebrating her birthday this weekend, and she decided to turn 31 in typical Swift style — dropping her second surprise masterpiece of the year, Evermore. It’s just five months after Folklore, and just a few weeks after redefining those songs in her Long Pond Studio sessions, with collaborators Jack Antonoff and the National’s Aaron Dessner. Is Tariq getting in over his head?
The Tejada's are unlike anyone he's dealt with in the past. And he may think he's done his research, but there's a lot about this family he does not know.
Power Book II: Ghost Season 1 Episode 3 gave us a lot more information about the dysfunctional crew, who are at Monet's mercy. And she's doing everything she can to protect her family and their legacy.
There continues to be a lot to like about this spinoff, and the Tejada family is a major bright spot.
The whole family is intriguing, and not only did we get a bit more insight into their dynamics, but we also got to meet Lorenzo, who still plays a big part in the day to day operations of the family.
Lorenzo is in prison, but he's got beers, phones, and even a little makeshift bedroom set up for Monet's conjugal visits.

Though she's known for her unflinchingly personal lyrics, Taylor Swift is gradually touching more on the sociopolitical state of things. The singer recently released her surprise eighth studio album Folklore, which she wrote over the last few months, and many have suspected that the haunting 13th track "Epiphany" touches on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the sacrifices being made by healthcare workers as a result.
Upon first listen, "Epiphany" seems to be about soldiers off to war and the emotional toll of combat. That is partly the case, as Swift referenced her grandfather's service during World War II in the Folklore liner notes. "My grandfather, Dean, landing at Guadalcanal in 1942," she wrote in a list of the album's inspirations. What's more, a photo of Swift's grandfather in military uniform is shown in the "Cardigan" music video.
