If it was a TV series on child channel for 5 - 12 years old kids it would be very popular otherwise as a movie to watch in Cinema not worth at all. I strongly do not recommend to loose time on this simple comedy show. Besides, watching this series makes the owner think he is doing a great job however he is spending his best years on this kind of childish shows instead he can improve himself to record much worth things. We trust you Şahan! You can do better!
It was OK but not as good as the other movies in the franchise.
I think they made a mistake by choosing the sports theme. Recep used to have really funny dialogues and monologues before but in this movie he almost says nothing that is truly funny.
I wish they worked harder on the script. I am kind of disappointed.

This movie is a film that kills Turkish cinema culture. It tells the life style of uneducated and lumped people, which is predominant in Turkey. Concepts such as brutality, profanity, peasantry are praised in the film. Because it is a popular character and the production company has close political affiliations, the film is being spoken in local states.

I thought this was at least going to be a pop-corn time for me and my friend but it turned out such a mistake. First of all, it is possible for you to realize the plot is nothing but a 10-minutes-work. It doesn't have any quality or whatsoever, it is written only for sitting and watching.
It was kind of funny to see the early characters in KAKA-DER(Karaambar Kamyoncular Derneği) but the plot is so cliché that you cannot enjoy the characters. Recep Ivedik 5 contains fart jokes just like the early films. I did not enjoy the film, would not recommend it.

Recep Ivedik is an excellent movie character..And it deserves better scripts for the forthcoming movies..He is the Turkish Homer Simpson..People feel good after watching how vulgar he is and think themselves as kind, sensitive gentlemen..Deserves more than 5 stars..Will get better with a more talented script team..

This movie is bad. I can't describe how bad and silly it is in words. Watch it if your training as a tibet monk to get balls of steel. Have fun cringing and I wish you can sir if you enjoyed this.
If you are looking for a comedy with a message, then Recep Ivedik is not your choice. But if you want a couple of hours of good laugh, then this is the movie for you!

Well, firstly, it's not that bad. This movie and the other Recep Ivedik movies in general doesn't deserve these harsh satires.
Let me ask, what had you been expecting from it right before watching it? Basically, what do you expect from a movie that shows the vulgar side of the people in the narrated country? They say "Aw that sucks. That movie is really bad." And why is that? Answer comes "That is so bad to use these sexual words, swears, disgustingness for a movie, aw that's so awful, etc..."
These factors does not make a movie "awful" as you say. They don't make it "terrible" as well if you are talking about a movie that's all about vulgarity since it's goal would be that already: being vulgar. That's what Recep Ivedik do. Exerting rudeness to the audience and he exerts it rather good in most of his movies (not in all his movies, not at all). I'm not saying that Recep Ivedik is a perfect movie series to watch. Just not too shabby...
What i don't like about the movie is it's exaggerations. In some scenes exaggerations surplussing the vulgarity. And yes, some scenes are awful really because of that. It's the worst part of the series.
And i wanna add this. People that give themself the "white collar" status: "The Elite People" in Turkey thinks it is so much rudeness. I guess they are rejecting it even they are living it every other day, sadly.
To make a long story short, Recep Ivedik deserves a little bit more.

Recep Ivedik is a portray of ordinary Anatolian Turkish citizen living in the "big" city, who is conservative, churly, non-compliant and uncouth.
This caricature-like character of a Turkish male figure disturbs some middle-class English-speaking internet-aware former Anadolian immigrants because either they used to be a 'Recep' themselves before migrating to the big city or they have one or more 'Recep's in their own family. For them, rating this movie as 'TERRIBLE' is way of expression, stating that 'I'm not a villager Recep any more'.
You will never read a comment from those who honestly enjoy this comedy because ordinary Turkish citizens can't read-write English and they're not aware that IMDb ever exists. They will never be able to rate and post comments about how they laugh with Recep Ivedik movies and enjoy watching him.
I think Sahan Gökbakar is a brilliant comedian and he knows what Turkish citizen really likes. That's why all Revep Ivedik movies make great money. Characters like Recep Ivedik actually exist in our lives and they are everywhere.
Obsessively hating Recep Ivedik and Sahan Gokbakar became a common reflex among those people who are actually real-life Recep Ivedik personalities themselves.

I will not say that this film is fantastic, since many parts of it are very boring and exaggerated. In the meantime, this is the general culture of Turkish people to exaggerate dramas. OK, if you evaluate this film with the general trend of Western culture, you may not understand why people like this kind of cinema. I would not give critic to them because they are lost in different cultures and cannot imagine one second that they don't really understand Turkish culture. Some scenes are very funny and I would recommend you to see it at the cinema. Don't trust main other reviews. I even suspect them to not have seen the film!!
I Actually found Recep hilariously funny and all 4 films, I watched them all back to back on Netflix, they all made me cry with laughter, it may just be my sick warped personality/mentality ha ha going by a lot of other peoples comments, I reckon you all must have some dry serious lives, I wonder what is actually funnier than taking a village idiot putting him into the modern world nothing could actually be funnier, Also the fact that he looks also carries himself like someone I know ha ha, I wouldn't dare say whom this is, but hay I suppose this person could well behave like Recep at times if in the situations Mr Recep was in. Any how I think it was a really good movie a laugh and a half from beginning to end, if you let your hair down relax chill after eating fusulya for dinner, these films reminded me of many American comedies but wasn't half as sick or dirty as some American comedies, I don't no why every ones making a big deal. I personally so am looking forwards to more of Recep films I am gutted I thought there was 5 films I watched them all on Netflix saved the last till tonight! I must have imagined a 5th film gosh boring! I've got to make do with something else tonight, my life is old perhaps lol I have been bought up with a lot of old Turkish traditions also the old wife's tales that had stuck with me growing up, I found it all funny when hearing them some years ago, today I thought they were non existent, but hay I seen them cracking them out in these movies, the fact is that if your Turkish you no everything there is to no ha ha, the last time I was ever in turkey was in 1985 so Recep was as funny as Turkey was back in the 1980s now Turkey is very forwards turkey has developed into an amazing forwards Country but hay please don't forget your history we laughed at Kemal Sunal don't forget that ha ha ha just my opinions.
