The film has no credited director. The Director's Guild almost always refuses to allow a film to be released without a credited director, due to various legalities and contractual obligations. How the makers of this film were allowed to release a film without crediting a director remains unclear.
Originally titled "Amusement Park", and directed by Dylan Brown. Brown was removed from the project following accusation of sexual misconduct in January 2018, and the film was renamed "Wonder Park". Because the movie was mostly completed at the time of his firing, no other director was hired.
The phrase Wonder Park is not used in the movie not even once. Wonderland is used instead.
Originally was intended to release on August 10th 2018, but it was moved to March 15th 2019 to avoid competing with Disney's Christopher Robin (2018).
Paramount Pictures wanted a well known celebrity to voice June, but Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wanted an unknown actress instead.
