One of the Soldiers who was a stunt performer on this film was in fact a real life Soldier, (that's Sgt. Maj. Miguel A. Baez Jr.) who had served 8 years with the 100/442 Infantry unit with his last assignment as the Company First Sergeant in charge of 211 Soldiers.
There's a character called "Chimpo." It means "penis" in Japanese slang. So, when the VVV are talking about seeing if the Ka Leo would print Chimpo's name in the newspaper, they were trying to insert a dick joke into the paper.
