I'm 67 episodes into the series, and it rates a solid 7/10 for me so far. The main story develops at a slow pace, but it does steadily develop and climax with beautifully animated battles and emotionally-touching interactions. Some of the episodes drag on too long or focus on side-stories that aren't very interesting, but it all adds up in the end. However, I understand the criticisms about the story.
I don't understand much of the other criticisms though. Some complain that Boruto doesn't embody the same spirit as Naruto, while others complain that it's too similar. Without giving spoilers, the story that's told is one where the older generation of ninja deal with protecting a world at peace, and the younger generation try to live up to their parents despite maturing in a very different environment. Each character, old and young, grapples with the path they choose to follow. In this way, it is very similar to the original series. And yes, a lot of the old jutsus are passed down, but there are also improvements and totally new ones. In a lot of ways it feels like a continuation of Naruto, but in other ways it is a completely different show, and I think that has some people confused.
If you want Naruto 2.0, Boruto isn't it. If you want a completely new experience, Boruto isn't it either. If you go into the show without expecting it to be one way or the other, you may enjoy its carefully-crafted story like I have.

Why did they even make this anime it is insult to naruto anime ,the only reason this anime is being watched is because of the fans of naruto wants to see naruto
Recently finished watching all the aired episodes so far (154). I see most of the Naruto fans are disappointed in this "next generations" show. But what we have seen in 154 episodes should be just the tip of the iceberg. Let's not forget the fact that this show takes place in a much different era where the majority of adult ninjas try to keep the world peaceful. Ninja vs. peace? It may sound like a bad idea, but if this show is going to run for years like Naruto did, I'd say wait until the story develops more layers. So far, it's been 8/10 for me and I rated Naruto 10/10. Boruto and his friends are just spoiled kids of peace and prosperity who haven't seen any major hardship, or turning points in their lives yet.
I can't wait to see the episodes accumulate until I start watching this show again.

You can notice the all recent rewiews are 9/10 only the old ones are bad, because the story started slow, characters needed buildup, but now its getting better and better.

I was so excited when this show came out as Naruto was and still is my ultimate favourite show of all time. To my surprise, it started off on a really low point with a very shallow story line, boring characters and no note worthy villians.
I thought, ok it's still early, I'm sure they will have character development and that given a little time I would come to love the show as I did Naruto. Sadly, that never happened. 241 Episodes in and still the show is at best mediocre.
I really didn't want to be one of the haters, but all the elements that made Naruto an exceptional series are missing in this "Next Generation" version. Everything you came to love from the original is destroyed, and even the original characters like Konohamaru, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and others have become bland and feel like shells of themselves.
It sadens me to say that I honestly feel like this show was very unnecessary and shouldn't have been made. My 3 star rating is soley for Kawaki, as he is the only character that feels fit to be in a Naruto series.

All I have to say is, the anime was a bit childish in the start but after the kawaki arc began........*THIS IS THE START OF A LEGENDARY ANIME, MARK MY WORDS*

This is what a post-war civilization looks like. Though some of the established traditions were broken, the lack of story is realistic.
It is five years since boruto series started and till now it is only around 10 episodes out of 259 that maybe not considered as a filler in my opinion. It feels like naruto world is converted into children cartoons!
Wait for it and it gets really good. this show is getting much better and does not deserve hate it gets.
I like the series as there is different story line where boruto want to became like Sasuke and sarada want to became like Naruto. I am interested in watching what they became and the next generation is also different as compared to old leaf village and I also like the children of all characters

Ever since the Mujina Bandits, Kara and Kawaki arc started, Boruto has started to become really good. Manga Canon episodes are simply 🔥🔥. Just skip the fillers even Naruto had tons of fillers, and most of them were bad. Just skip them.

A few months ago there was a community and 2 anime chat groups were asking us to rate Boruto 10 stars on IMDb to counter the hate.
So, after rating 10 stars it feels unfair so I watched 208 episodes and Yes, Boruto is far worse than all these reviews.
This is not like anyone wants to hate it or didn't give it any chance but most are just telling about what is wrong with Boruto.
Only 6 episodes are worth watching and the rest is trash. The entire storyline is so immature, senseless, forgettable, messed up, misleading and unfaithful to its own rule.
Worse world-building, dead-humour, terrible dialogues and cheap animation.
Then I read reviews that said that Give chance is getting better, then read manga, after kara, don't hate without a watch and many excuses like these.
And after watching 259 torturing episodes and reading 68+1 chapters of this disaster. I can say Boruto is waste of time. The creators only wanted to sell their and not to tell any good story or be faithful to their creation.
Boruto is bad because of these so-called real fans, they are accepting whatever creators do, giving views and time to force them to create more s''''' like this. If real fans give their time they will create more than 200 episodes like these and seasons 2,3,4,5 and 6 with lots of spin-offs.
So fans go ahead to support them for disasters like Boruto.
And if you like but that's not my problem but keep to yourself and stop asking for 10 stars because a good anime don't need a defence or advertising but here fans never stop yelling and being offended by every joke and opinion.
Anyway, stop blaming reviews and asking others to give 10 stars to something that you liked

I love the soul of this anime. Soul of naruto and naruto shippiden is still there, but more youth and modern which is good, great to all ages. I love the ost, sound effect and some instruments in it. Like dive into the anime.

The anime is only running due to Old Naruto and Sasuke fans. But due to awful stories and episodes I think we need to let go the franchise and remember the memories of the Naruto series. This series is just a bunch fillers and fillers, lowest quality of arcs which are only stretched illogically. I hope they keep their focus on Boruto and its story, rather than telling stories about all the 20+ useless characters. Otherwise there is no future of Boruto.
