This is a version of the 1990s Canadian TV show La Femme Nikita, which was based on the French film Nikita; Barbara's performance is very much inspired by Peta Wilson's in La Femme Nikita.
In 2018-2019, Rosario Tijeras 2 aired in USA on Univision, but for the third season (the series' final season), apparently Univision didn't renew their contract. The season aired on the obscure Azteca 7.
