A group of teenagers receive mysterious invitations to attend a summer survival camp. Although some of them wonder where the invitation came from, most jump at the chance.
Mario explains that the kids need to build the camp themselves and Rosie reluctantly agrees to give it a chance and not leave after all. Unknown to the kids, the smart-watches they are given are being used to track them.
Mas has a lot of trouble trying to put up his tent, much to Kyon's amusement. Walt and Ramses play a trick on Simon, but he is far from amused by it. Meanwhile, someone in the woods is trying to disable the hidden cameras.
Rosie and Liz continue to clash with each other. While Simon goes looking for the intruder, Walt persuades the others to join him for a ride in the buggy, but when the engine is disabled remotely, it is Ramses that Simon catches.
Gaia's plan to bring Rosie and Liz together appears to be working, but the mysterious observer has other ideas. The intruder steals an engineer's clothes and ID badge to gain access to the control center.
Rosie plans a secret party at night and when Mas insists, reluctantly allows Liz to join them. When Walt persuades Ramses to look for the party with him, they get a shock when they instead stumble across Kees Kap and Dessels.
When Simon confiscates Rosie's phone, she accuses Liz of telling him about it. Nobody seems to believe Walt and Ramses about the men in the woods, so they go out to look for evidence, not realizing that Evi is following.
After sending Walt and Ramses back to the camp, Evi is approached by Kees Kap who wants to find out what's going on at the camp. Mario announces the first challenge and Mas, Kyon and Liz compete.
Mas is upset about losing the challenge. Naima is curious about the cameras and tries to find out why Evi is always using her tablet. Ramses confides in Rosie that he is unhappy at camp and she suggests that they leave and go home.
Naima shows Liz the information that Evi has about all the kids and shares her suspicions that they are being watched closely. As Rosie and Ramses try to leave the camp they discover the mansion, but Snake is not happy about it.
Liz and Naima try to work out what Evi is up to. Lo wins a physical challenge despite his health problems and Evi tempts him with the promise of another camp for only the best kids. Simon eventually catches Rosie and Ramses.
Evi asks Mas to cheer Rosie up and persuade her to stay at the camp. While Simon is taking Lo to a secret part of the camp, Gaia panics when Lo's mother unexpectedly turns up at camp and demands to see her son.
Walt catches Naima and Liz snooping around. Evi and Simon rush Lo back to the camp and persuade him to lie to his mother. Mas struggles with a climbing challenge as he tries to keep his fear of heights secret.
Mas overcomes his fear to win the challenge, but Evi must now make a plan to remove him without his sister becoming suspicious. After convincing his mother that everything's fine, Lo arrives at the secret camp where he finds Kyon.
Lo dislikes the new arrangements and is determined to go home, but when Mas arrives, his enthusiasm persuades Lo to give it a chance. Liz believes the story about Mas going home, until she finds that he has left his knife behind.
Desperate to recover his knife, Mas escapes through an air vent, causing Snake to panic that he'll be seen back at camp. Liz becomes more suspicious when Evi announces a surprise challenge that takes them out of the camp.
Liz is reassured when Evi lets her phone Mas, who pretends to be at home. Simon unknowingly transports the snake to the game unit. Naima still has doubts, and she and Liz get a surprise when they investigate further.
Ramses tells Liz and Naima about the mansion but refuses to take them there, so they have to try to persuade Rosie to help them. Mas and Kyon are terrified when they discover the snake, but Lo remains calm and looks after it.
Evi checks on the kids in the game unit and gives them a clue about what will happen next. Liz and Naima finally convince Rosie to show them the mansion, but before they get the chance, Snake decides to take Rosie to the game unit.
With the help of Ramses' map, Liz and Naima search for the mansion, while trying to avoid being seen by the cameras. Rosie, Mas, Kyon and Lo are introduced to an incredible virtual reality system and start to play the game.
Liz and Naima arrive at the mansion but cannot get in without a code for the door. The gamers explore the Middle Ages, and despite a few initial glitches, Snake is delighted by how well his virtual reality system works.
Simon's insistence that Liz and Naima keep away from the mansion just makes them more determined to investigate, so they enlist Ramses and Walt's help. Meanwhile the gamers have to face more challenges.
Evi is concerned that Lo's health is suffering due to the game, but Snake insists that he continues to play. While Walt and Ramses distract Simon, Liz and Naima return to the mansion and discover how to get inside.
While Mas, Kyon and Rosie are keen to continue the game, Lo is not so enthusiastic. Naimi is too scared to go into the mansion, so Walt goes with Liz instead. Once hidden inside, they overhear Snake discussing the game with Evi.
Liz and Walt narrowly avoid being seen in the mansion, but want to know more about the man they saw there. The gamers get another chance against the gladiator and this time are victorious and move on to a new puzzle.
Rosie and Mas attempt to sneak into the gaming unit at night to have an extra game, but set off the alarms. Ramses sneaks into Mario's tent to borrow his laptop, and Kees Kap responds to the message they post online.
Mario catches Liz and Naima with his laptop, but believing that they were unable to get online, he lets them off. Snake calls Simon to find out who put his photo online. Meanwhile tensions rise as the gamers attempt the next level.
Liz and Naima are not impressed that Walt has admitted to Simon that they were in the mansion. Mas and Kyon make progress in the game, but after an argument with Rosie, Lo decides he's had enough and wants to go home.
To Snake's relief, Evi persuades Lo to return to the game. Liz and Naima question Gaia, but learn little, so they decide they must focus on Evi to get answers. Simon tells Mario how angry Snake is that his laptop was used by the kids.
Walt recovers Mario's laptop, but Ramses struggles to get it working. Lo is far more enthusiastic about the game after winning a level, but Mas and Rosie aren't impressed. Meanwhile, Liz and Naima hatch a plan to capture Evi.
Evi reveals the truth to Liz and Naima, but Liz is still concerned and insists on a chance to talk to her brother. Simon is suspicious after finding the three of them together, but Snake is not interested.
Liz is still concerned, and thinks Mas was too fanatical when she spoke to him. Rosie and Mas sneak into the game unit for an extra game, much to Snake's delight, but choosing the hardest difficulty may prove to be a mistake.
Mas is injured as he and Rosie take on the game, so Evi intervenes. Snake is not happy about the game being shut down, and starts to question Evi's loyalty. Meanwhile, Ramses finally makes progress with accessing Mario's laptop.
The gamers start the next level of the game, but Lo and Kyon are quickly eliminated, leaving Mas and Rosie to compete. Ramses and Walt discover a secret file on Mario's laptop. Meanwhile Liz sneaks into the mansion again.
Rosie and Mas near the end of the level, but Snake shuts the game down when he discovers that someone has used Evi's code to enter the mansion. Liz and Naima decide to ask Mario to help them send Kees Kap the information they found.
Liz panics after discovering that Mario can't be trusted and is even more worried about her brother. Ramses tells Gaia everything and asks for her help. Rosie and Mas have to work together to make progress, but don't trust each other.
Gaia tries to help, but Simon remains one step ahead and makes sure she doesn't get the chance. Lo starts destroying the equipment, so Snake allows him to leave the game, but not to return to camp. Walt is invited to replace Lo.
Walt joins the players as they enter the next level and Mas and Rosie remain as competitive as ever. Evi explains her concerns about the game and makes a plan to help Lo escape so he can lead the others to the game unit to stop it.
Lo manages to reach Liz and Naima before Simon catches him again. In the game, Mas and Walt gain an early lead, but Rosie tricks them again. Evi is concerned that the last level is too dangerous, but Snake is determined to continue.
Ignoring his father's instructions, Mario enables the artificial intelligence module in the game. Liz and Naima head to the game unit to try to warn the others, but they are becoming more addicted to the game and do not want to stop.
Liz makes plans to capture Mario and hold him hostage in the hope that they can persuade his father to stop the game. Rosie and Mas still refuse to cooperate as they try to unlock the bonus level.
Kyon tricks Rosie and Mas into sharing the codes to unlock the bonus level. Liz and Naima's plan to abduct Mario seems ready to fail until Gaia unexpectedly helps them. Evi tries to persuade Antoinette to help her and Lo.
Snake calls Liz's bluff and refuses to stop the game to save Mario, instead sending Simon to search for him. Snake himself takes over Mario's duties and introduces himself to the gamers as they prepare for the bonus level.
Gaia distracts Simon while Liz and Naima move Mario to their tent, hoping that Simon will not search it again. Snake and the gamers have a practice game for the bonus level, playing now in the real world. Evi tries to contact Kees Kap.
As Mario is returned to his father, the kids try to convince him to help them. Kees Kap arrives and releases Evi and Lo. Snake has a change of heart and decides to stop the project, but Mario disappears with the gamers.
Fearing the dangers of gaming in the real world, Snake and the others are very worried about the gamers, and try to work out where Mario is taking them. Ramses and Lo take another look at Mario's laptop and find a clue there.
Mario sets the gamers their challenge for the final level, but as he integrates more of the real world, they start to struggle to understand what is real and what is the game. Meanwhile, the others continue their search for Mario.
Mario persuades Kyon to rejoin the game. Snake suspects that the game is taking place in an old power plant and that Mario's real aim is to destroy the mainframe computers of Snake's rival, the Grauw.
Ignoring Evi's warning about the dangers, Liz and the others enter the factory. But Mario has adjusted the augmented reality so that the gamers see them as guards and believe they must stop them to win the game.
Kyon and Walt quit the game and trick Mario into leaving his laptop behind. While Mas and Rosie are as determined as ever to win, still not realizing that it's their friends that they're attacking, Ramses races to shut down the game.
