Ugh. A remake of the original Colombiano 2011 movie The Hidden Face (La cara oculta) which is better than this mess. A couple moves into a house that, unbeknownst to the man, has a safe-room. The woman tells her man via messaging that she has left him but instead she has locked herself into the safe-room so she can spy on him to get his reaction. I'm sorry but that is despicable. I wouldn't even want to stay with someone once they had done that to me. And this is supposed to be Ms. Right?

"Öteki Taraf" unfolds with a 5/10 rating, and unfortunately, it fails to leave a lasting impression. While the acting is serviceable, the film struggles with uneven pacing and editing, making it challenging to fully engage with the narrative. The music is forgettable, adding little to the overall experience. The movie's message may have potential, but it gets lost in the muddled storytelling. Cinematography doesn't manage to elevate the film either, as it often feels uninspired. Ultimately, "Öteki Taraf" is a missed opportunity to explore its themes more deeply, leaving viewers with a sense of unfulfilled potential.

Okay so I dont know what the director and writer were thinking, this whole thing felt like a skit made in a high school theatre program, i predicted the entire film right at the beginning. there was nothing attractive about this plot because there was no protagonist, every character is genuinely stupid, and lacks basic common sense. the acting was herrendous, Ozcan was constantly too concerned with appearing attractive for the camera, Meryem and Asli were also insufficient, constantly overacting and reacting obnoxiously to situations. What a joke

Wow wow wow, it's been a while since I've seen such an intense and engaging film. There were plot twists around every corner. When you think to have figured the whole plot out BAM you're surprised yet again.
I read that the original (La Cara Oculta) is more graphic in terms of sexual nudity. And you know what? I appreciate that the Turkish version didn't feel the urge to make an R rated film. Having those scenes wouldn't have added anything to the plot.
You'll be on the edge of your seat until the very end - highly recommended!!!

I usually like Ozcan Deniz movies but this time didn't happen. The performance of Meryem Uzerli was enough to ruin this movie. Asli Enver and Ozcan deniz's acting was not enough to rescue. Ozcan Deniz didn't do a good job in this film, which also directed. he added a new one among the unsuccessful Turkish thriller and horror films in general.
