Sufism based Poetry.

Whispering Sands was screened at the Dubai International Film Festival on 10th December 2017. I had a chance to discuss about the movie with the Director Nacer Khemir. It was a great experience.

The film has only 2 characters. A driver and a Tourist. The remaining actors are part of the stories that the Driver narrates to his Tourist. Each stories are like Arabian tales. Sufism is the base of the film. The movie is like a poetry, depicting the intellectual level of Sufism.

There are many metaphors used in the movie. You may need to watch it repeatedly to understand the complete meaning of the stories. Knowing about the basics of Sufism may help you more with it.

Beautiful Movie. A movie for real film lovers, if you are looking to explore the cinema of the world. #KiduMovie
