Whoever said this movie is horrible because it "makes fun of people who suffer from OCD" does not know the difference between comedy and insult. Of course , the pc police needs to learn outside tur US (it's a Spanish movie) people still enjoy a good laugh without being worried about which snowflake segment will be hurt.

You have it they have it and everybody has it, a grain or two, of OCD. Im a numbercounter and tiptoes the pavements, and i do reckognize all of it in this duracell driven spanish comedy. Very well acted, hilarious at moments.
The story is really a piece for the theater scene, but the subject has been filmated many times in many languages over the years, but this is close to the tiptop of ocd-acting.
So its a recommend from the grumpy old man.

I watched this film on a train ride from Madrid to Barcelona and found it pretty funny. It's not the greatest comedy in the world but it's worth watching it just once. The acting is obviously exaggerated and it's not an Oscar-winning film and it's not trying to be one. It's silly, funny and stupid but it will make you laugh especially Federico's insults. The film is trying to send the message that OCDs can be controlled to some extent but in a humorous manner.

This amusing and wry comedy with humorous happenings that takes place in Madrid, present day, at a waiting room of a known doctor of rare illness. There come a motley group of patients to be treated by a doctor expert on treatments for TOC Trastorno Obsesivo Compulsivo or Obsessive compulsive disorder. They meet at the same time, the reason for a malfunctioning of an office computer run by a secretary. As the misfit patients have been dated the same day.Later on , the secretary informs them that the airplane of the doctor delays from London. Then, one of them suggers share the different obsessions in hoping to heal themselves , as the traumatized patients get together telling their illness, as the personal secrets are disclosed and it results in awry consequences.
A fun and really funny comedy blending humor, chuckles , tongue-in-cheek, entertainment, amusement, a lot of laughs and decent performances. A sour comedy developed in marvelous crescendo, ups and down, until a surprising finale, including an enjoyable twist in the screenplay that I will not reveal . It is well acted, and smartly written. The brilliant original idea is expanded throughout the movie in fits and starts. The tone of the picture is light-hearted as well as moving. The actors give a true tour-of-force playing the offbeat roles. These are the following ones : Paco Leon as Emilio, a taxi driver expert on astronomical mathematical calculation and suffering the Diogenes Syndrome, as piling things and hoarding papers . Oscar Martinez as Federico a mature aspiring to advocate a law who says continuous profanities with Tourette syndrome and showing obscene gestures. Alejandra Jimenez as Blanca a lab worker with obsession for cleaning, who suffers mysophobia or panic to bacteria and virus. Rossi De Palma a mature praying, an extremely religious woman often saying prayers, and suffering disorder verification. Adrian Lastra as Otto, a young who doesn't want touch the floor . Nuria Herrero as Lili, a gym trainer affected by Epalilalia, usually repeating phrases, sentences, quotes and repetitive worlds. At the end appears some cameos by notorious actors as Miguel Rellan, Veronica Forque, Marta Hazas, Daniel Grao.
It packs a lively and catching musical score by Antonio Escobar . As well as a colorful, adequate cinematography by David Omedes, who has photographed important films such as Salvador, Cowards, The mix, Shacky Carmine, A bench in the park, Pepe Guindo, Perdona si te llamo amor, Wave of crimes, A night in Old Mexico, Dark impulse, Hold up, among others. The motion picture was well directed by Vicente Villanueva. He is a good artisan , writer, producer and filmmaker, who has directed shorts as Eres, Heteroxesuales y casados, and a few films such as Lo contrario al amor and Born to win with Alejandra Jimenez and Victoria Abril , being this TOC TOC his greatest hit.

Having a tic(k) ... at least one. But how do you cure that? Especially when the doc that is supposed to help you accidentaly has multiple people invited on the same day and hour than your appointment is on. And to further complicate matters: the doc is late.
So if you take that and put all the weirdos in a room, more or less what do you get? Something quite funny I would say. It's more than decently made and if you have a heart for movies with lots of dialog and a focus on character rather than effects or anything else, you will be entertained.

The plot is very simple, but it has good acting and very funny moments; I recommend it if you like Spanish comedies.

Lovely and funny film, with interesting characters, and although the OCDs that they have serve as a generator of funny moments, they are not ridiculed. Instead, we get to see how each character struggles with every day life and how their private and professional life also takes heavy blows or does not exist because of a disorder they have. It really made me think more about how difficult it is to live when you have to face such challenges each day. The plot is simple yet engaging, actors are convincing - their acting may be a bit exaggerated at some points but not in an annoying way. I would definitely recommend this film for watching - it's funny, witty, and treats its characters with understanding and warmth, not mockery.
As an OCD person, I recognized myself in every single character. Loved them and laughed with them. Highly recommend!

I think I 've had enough with political correctness, which is slowly becoming a problem for this world, just like anything extreme.
This great flick is a refreshing comedy with just the right amounts of humor and self-sarcasm, trying to get a genuinely good message across. Its breezy approach to the issue and a clever little twist, will only leave you in a feel-good mood, even if you have an OCD yourself. And let's face it, we all do at some degree.
Excellent work. If you are not smiling in the end, you should look into it.

For those that found acting here exaggerated, were probably not familiar with Spanish cinema and culture. We are talking about people full of color, vivid language, art, wars, incredible food, influences from eastern cultures and from what my Spanish tutor said, kinda rude. I found Rossy de Palma, comparing with past roles in Almodóvar movies, very "normal", and the rest of the cast had a good chemistry.
The plot raises a lot of questions for discussion, especially when you watch this with younger people, who do not know about OCD, or they recognize some of the symptoms presented, to people they know already, or on themselves.
I can not imagine this movie being a remake for the US standards, where all the freakers ball, politically, legally, socially correct, will throw this in the pit of hell
for numerous discrimination.
As an OCD myself, i don't feel insulted by this movie, on the contrary, people that fanatically will claim the opposite, belong in an another kind of disorder that also needs therapy and medication. i already saw one here in the reviews, i was expecting more, but we should thank our luck, non European, English spoken countries will not watch this, unless they are trained to, so hopefully these "good Samaritans" that hate everyone else, will not appear here.

This is a typical movie that seems a lot funnier in the trailer, because of its condensed nature. Given the fact that most of the action takes place in one room, I would say this was originally a play, with six main characters suffering from different pathologies linked to OCD, forced to undergo some group therapy.
It's three girls and three guys, engaged in endless dialogues, sometimes funny other times not so much. The actors do their best but the material is stretched dangerously thin.
Since my Spanish is not so good I watched the French version, which had pretty snappy and funny dialogues. Maybe it was funnier in the original, but I doubt it. You get some laughs especially at the start, when the scene is set, but after that is a lot of talk and it drags a bit. Still worth watching.

I found it lighthearted, hilarious, and an enjoyable watch. Initially I chose this film as one to fall asleep with, however was soon captivated by the superb writing and acting and finished the entire film even though it was entirely too late to be awake on a weeknight. Would highly recommend, and is one of the few films I've seen fully in Spanish.

Imagine a small room filled with a person with every type of OCD disorder all waiting for quite a while to see a hard to book doctor. While they wait, of course every neurotic trait makes an appearance from the obsessively clean lady to the Tourettes cursing guy to a dude where everything must be symmetrical and so forth. Watch and lightly smirk as they try to survive a brief period of time together in a waiting room. And as time clips on some may predict the end twist while they each try to better understand each other's OCD nature. Will anyone leave the room with a cure? This was lightly humorous with a barrage of wacky characters as they eventually warm to each other. It was pretty good.
This film doesn't entirely focus on comedy, it focuses into the characters a lot as well. As a comedy alone, I feel it is unfair to judge it as that, but if you were to, for me it failed the six-laugh test. But the comedy is quite good, I can certainly see others laughing at it. The characters are written well, and their chemistry certainly works, and there is not much bathos present. From what I saw, the acting was quite good, though I am not fluent in Spanish so I might not have got a good grasp on the delivery of the lines, but it seemed good to me. I disagree with the claim that the movie makes fun of OCD, it is just light-hearted and does bring awareness to the problems that these everyday people face, yet they don't understand. Overall, watch this, don't take it too seriously, though don't lose that element completely. A good watch.

It's kind of funny in the beginning and it's interesting to see close up how people with OCD deal with everyday life. But the ending didn't complete the story. Maybe if they met once again for therapy and if they showed us something more they have experienced during the time in between. I would have given it more stars if the ending wasn't this basic.

As a psychotherapist who's overcome severe OCD and have now been specialising in treating OCD for years, I salute this brilliantly funny and accurate depiction. I will be recommending this to all my wonderful patients!
Once your used to how fast the people from that region speak it almost adds an element to content like this..
These people are absolutely funny, and crazy.. I do wish the writers and directors would have spent MORE time detailing and adding even more depth to each characters lives rather than go for the typical more cheesy moments..
The overall comedy is very sound.. just wish they would have capitolized on what they obviously had more.. Would love to see more seasons made..

It's one of the best comedies I have ever watched. But the film is not just a comedy, but a pretty smart approach to therapy for people with OCD. I disagree that it makes fun of people with such problems, my opinion is that it tries to focus on everyday life and problems facing these people with 'normal' people who can not understand them and at the end they are alone without any friends or social life.

The film starts with an idea: let's put together characters with obsessive behavioral disorders, spectacular, in a doctor's office and let them interact (the starting material is a play).
The technical component of the film is perfect. The direction of the actors works.
Beyond the challenge of finding the interactions to be set up between the characters, and the explanatory flashbacks, the film lacks something that would take it out of its theatrical origin: the systematic side of the plot with loops on each of the characters in turn.
The characters do not arouse any empathy, or very little. The spectator is simply an observer. Like an animal report. And is little concerned. The dramatic purpose accentuates the features and the troubles of our characters, for the need of the dramaturgy, that we understand well. But this exaggeration prevents any identification with a character. This is the main flaw that prevents it from taking off and makes it lose its breath quickly. But the final revelation finally gives meaning and linkage to what has just preceded and saves the film.

Oscar Martínez acting is superb, as always. Adrián Lastra was a real surprise and so amazing he was! The movie was fun and a little too predictable but I was not disappointed. I recommend this for when you just want to relax and have a good laugh!
