Does Tiger milk make one stronger? There is no such thing as tiger milk? Don't crush my dreams - or rather the dreams of the main characters here. This is quite the interesting view in the minds of two teenage girls and their journey to adulthood ... growing up being "girly", but also so many other things - trying out what they can get away with.
Morally speaking I doubt everyone will be on board with a lot of things they do. But while you pass judgement, try to "enjoy" the movie nonetheless. One does not always have to agree or be on the same side with the characters on screen, if their journey is mesmerizing enough ... and it really is here! Really good performances to say the least and quite the harrowing things they have to go through ... some (many?) self inflicted ... and a very believable enviroment! Someone did their homework! Kudos!

This was yet another European film that tread where no US-made film dares to go. It does remind me a bit of HBO's "Euphoria," but there are many scenes and situations here that simply wouldn't get made stateside, and I don't expect that will ever change...at least in my lifetime.
Playing the lead characters, Flora Li Thiemann and Emily Kusche demonstrate promising acting skills that will surely mature over the coming years. Is the movie a bit melodramatic? Sure, maybe it bites off a bit more than it can chew, but at least things HAPPEN in this movie. So many films (both inside and outside the US) just tread water and barely anything evolves, yet we're expected to be moved by an ending that features someone standing alone in a field at night for three minutes.
I found Tiger Milk very entertaining and while at times I really disagreed with some character choices and actions, I knew they had me hooked when I became emotional during the final scenes. If a movie can elicit the welling of tears from a veteran movie buff like myself, it's doing something right.

I didn't expect it to be that good. The story flows from start to finish, the acting across the board is just great, and I never had a feeling of boredom or lost interest throughout. Definitely recommended. Catch it on Netflix!

This film is hyperbolic description of the German teenagers growing up. Female German adolescents have more self respect and self worth portrayed by the main characters in the act of sexual exploration. This German film likes to over (mis)represent the migrant/refugee community in Germany with extreme examples.

It is disgusting that a 12 year old is allowed to watch this film that exaggerates the lives of teenage girls with no respect for themselves.
