The Czech title (Svet pod hlavou - The World Under your Head), unlike Life on Mars on which the series is based, is not a song title but lyrics from the song 'V stinu kapradiny' (In the Shadow of the Ferns). This may be because a Czech film with almost the same title was made in 1986.
The song 'V stinu kapradiny', from which the title of this series is taken, contains several references to sleeping (or being in a coma), which could refer to the main character, Marvan. For example, the final lyrics of the song are "Come on, wake up" repeated 4 times.
