I absolutely loved this show! Were there some bits of the story that were far-fetched? Yes, however, these things definitely did not make or break the story for me.
At it's heart this is a show about love, kindness, and being selfless. This is a very heartwarming show that made me smile and believe in love.
That being said there were some flaws: as I mentioned above there were a few plot points that definitely felt far-fetched. There were also some unlikable characters. But there were a ton of wonderful characters that outweighed the bad ones. Louis and Bok Sil's love story is one of the sweetest I have ever seen in a Kdrama, and I loved the softness of Louis' character. This is well worth a watch if you are looking for something sweet, not too heavy, and happy.

Honestly, I didn't want to watch this show. I watched it because I was bored. I didn't expect anything good but this show surprised me. It was a beautiful yet simple love story. What makes this show special is that the main lead is not an arrogant, emotionless boss. He cries when he wants to, he laughs when he wants to and says the perfect things when he wants to. He opens up his heart in the show. The main lead was the best part of the show & the actress wasn't bad either. She complimented the male lead. Another thing was that the unique concept of shopaholic added humor and made this show worthwhile. What is different about this from the rest of the rom-com is that they both go through difficult times and it's the female lead that pulls up the hero & the hero isn't a jerk. Of course, it had its flaws. Towards the end, they forget that the title was about the shopaholic man & doesn't much talk about it. It becomes very much predictable. Yet I can say I didn't want it to end. So if you want to watch a simple yet good romcom that is diffrent from the rest. This show is the one to go for.I loved it. Louis was a memorable character & so was mr cha.

Because of his grandmother's superstitious belief that those closest to her come to harm, Louie has been raised far away from Korea in a beautiful palace in France with servants who cater to his every whim and a bank balance large enough for him to buy any thing that strikes his fancy. His lifestyle suffers a significant reverse when a trip to Korea finds him penniless and with no memory of who he is. He is rescued by a young woman who harvests ginseng for a living and has come to Seoul to find her brother. Their attempt to live and support one another is hampered by her naivete' and Louie's reflexive need to shop.
I started watching this series and enjoyed it a great deal, much of which is because Louie is such a fun and funny character. He's essentially a 25 year old puppy dog who pouts when his demands aren't met, rueful when he causes trouble, easily winded when he runs too fast but so goofily warm-hearted that you can't blame Go Bok Sil for taking him in, feeding him and quickly forgiving him when he overspends their limited funds.
But the second male lead is equally hilarious. Cha-Joong Wan is Go Bok Sil's grumpy boss who falls in love with the oblivious Go Bok Sil. He yells, scolds and complains while doing some of the nicest things for her and even for his rival, Louie. I have to say that every time he grunted in frustration (which was frequent) I had to laugh. But honestly, nearly EVERYONE is funny is this series: Louie's grandmother's right-hand woman who is conversant with the virtues of carrying a baseball bat; Go Bok Sil's volatile neighbor lady and her layabout son; Cha-Joong Wan's interfering parents (particularly his mother). The main villain's beautiful daughter, who you'd think you'd hate because of her attempts to undermine Go Bok Sil, ends up being comically inept. Equally memorable is her kindly spacy mother who keeps unconsciously upending her villainous husband's machinations.
I kept waiting for the series to lose itself in overwrought dramatics and humorless plot twists. Yeah, it gets a little lost narratively speaking towards the end and some of the events that occur are obviously filler to get the series to the requisite 16 episodes. But as a whole, the series is cute, funny and heartwarming.

The story revolves around Louis who although is the only to heir to one of the biggest korean company GoldLine. But has only his grandmother as family. So he seeks interest in buying and collecting and is a passionate about shopping. Seo In Guk's performance is above ordinary and he portrayed the character so well. The plot moves at a beautiful pace and leave you craving for more. Comic elements fit perfectly and Romance is a bonus. A Highly recommend Must Watch Korean Drama Series.

I loved this show. It was great. It was never boring not even for a second. The story was funny and made me happy, sad, mad in a good way. They did a great job on this story. The acting was great. All the actors and actress did a great job in this show. The makeup, hair and outfits were on point the whole time. The setting was super pretty. I could tell that the director of this show put his whole heart into it. The script was written super well. Everything that happens in the story makes since. The translation was done super well too. The romance in the story was super good. There was enough drama to keep the story entertaining the whole time. There was good character development and the plot was good too. I loved that Louie had lost his memory and when he found out who he was again he still loved the girl that had helped him the whole time he didn't know he was rich.i loved that before he lost his memory he loved shopping and when he lost his memory he still loved to shop. I liked that detail. Louie and the main girl in the story have such good chemistry together their romance is the best. I recommend this show to everyone.

My favourite show ever not just fav kdrama. every actor in this is perfect. i had this is my netflix list for ages cos i dint think too much of preview, finally watched it and it is great. have watched it 8 times now, i just love it, the sweet innocence of it is nice.
It is a light k drama with good actors and an okay story.
The leads have done very good acting and also their chemistry was good enough, Story is okay but i think the show became slow specially during last 4-5 episodes. Romance could have been a bit better and also the story could be made a bit more interesting.
I overall liked the show but one thing i found strange that side characters stories were left hanging, i think writers were a bit confused on how to finish side characters stories so i think the ending could have been better.
Overall i think the show is good, the lead characters are adorable. If you are looking for a light k drama with a bit of romance and comedy then go for it.

Shopaholic Louis whisked me away into a world of laughter and heart, and the unsung hero of this K-Drama extravaganza was none other than Yoon Sang-Hyun. In a masterful stroke of genius, Yoon Sang-Hyun managed to turn his supporting role into a show-stealing spectacle. His impeccable comedic timing and infectious charm injected a dose of hilarity into every scene he graced, leaving me in stitches and eagerly anticipating his next appearance.
While Nam Ji-Hyun led the cast with her captivating portrayal as the lead actress, it's impossible to overlook the magnetic presence of Yoon Sang-Hyun. He elevated the entire show, transforming what could have been a mere side role into a captivating performance that stole the spotlight. It's a testament to his talent that his character became a fan favorite, leaving an indelible mark on the overall enjoyment of Shopaholic Louis.
Nam Ji-Hyun deserves applause for her fantastic performance as the lead, bringing depth and charm to her character. Her chemistry with Yoon Sang-Hyun added an extra layer of delight to the series, creating a dynamic duo that kept me invested throughout. Together, they formed an unforgettable partnership, making Shopaholic Louis a must-watch for anyone seeking a perfect blend of humor and heart in the world of K-Dramas. Rest of the cast were good as well.
In the grand tapestry of this delightful series, it's the unexpected star power of Yoon Sang-Hyun that truly shines. His ability to turn moments of levity into memorable highlights cements Shopaholic Louis as a standout in the K-Drama landscape. So, if you're in the mood for laughter, heartwarming moments, and a brilliant supporting performance that steals the show, look no further than Shopaholic Louis.

I enjoyed the drama and the actress was really good - however is this really the best you can do for male characters? Unemployed and out of work it's ridiculous whilst the women do all the work? Where have the real men gone in this????
I wasn't too sure about this show at first as it started slowly, kept on being slow and a little frustrating at times, but it turned out into a very heartwarming story that's worth watching until the end. It was helped a LOT by the *extremely* hot policeman (why is that never true in real life?) and some funny moments, but was let down by too many disgusting eating scenes (seriously, wipe your mouth and don't talk with your face bulging with food). Also i don't get why the boss guy was so rude ALL THE TIME. It's a good lesson on NOT overprotecting and overspoiling a child, but in the end the story was perfect and it all came together well. Give it a shot and don't give up :)

I feel frustrated these days, so i need a funny and simple drama to watch.. i need that kind of warmth and also not a cringe one, i found that in shopping king louis.
I thought i wouldn't complete the show after the half of the first episode, but the acting of the main lead the actor was great and very smooth and fun.
The second lead actor, i liked him since the drama " the secret garden", he did also a great job here. The actress also, the friend, the family, the coworkers.. everyone is acting very well.
The osts are amazing, the clothes, the story lines.
BUT.. the last 4 episodes were so dragging, i liked them though, but it was obvious they needed 16 episodes by all the means.
Thank you for the happy times i spend with this drama, thank you korea.
(Note) the actress hair colour kept changing in different scenes.
EDIT i have just seen the last episode now.. i cried a lot, this is how i react with happy endings. Thank you all for your great efforts.

As far as I'm concerned, this drama INVENTED the popular tropes of the mid 2010s. It did it first and best!
The now overused (spoiler) "I loved u before I met you" was so sweet I was bawling like a baby.
The family infighting for CEO was done perfectly as a background plot and didn't take away from the fun and romance.
The "crime" plot also was not overwhelming. No serial killers here!
The secondary characters were fantastic and I actually enjoyed their scenes. It helps that they are top level talent but back then a few of them were still pretty new to dramas.
Our couple fell in love so sweetly with eyes only for each other. Eyes that they kept closed during kisses. Oh Go Bok Sil, what do I do *heart emoji*

I LOVED this. Maybe not my favourite thing but it was still a really fun watch. The plot was fun to watch, I always love an amnesia plot. The way it was paced was good enough to watch without skipping alot. The acting was amazing, each character had really well written plot and I loved that. It was a really easy watch, I genuinely cannot think of any problems I had with the series, it was great. I think the casting was great, the humour was great and even despite the comedy aspect of this series there were quite a few genuine scenes that did have me welling up. I loved everything about the progress of the main characters personality. Overall just a great series !!
