Yes, I know, yet another one. However, it was far more convincing than most. There were several overarching themes in the series that kept it a coherent whole. The twists and turns in the stories were ornate enough to make it understandable why the cops were making little headway in their main, long term-cases but never so outlandish that things got unbelievable.
As for the episode by episode cases solved each programme, I rather liked the sub-Poirot or Jessica Fletcher denouements where the crimes were explained by our maverick detective.
I have not seen the second series and breathlessly await it becoming available to watch where I am. This was a worthwhile series to watch and not for a moment did I regret the time I spent on it.

My first Czech seried and i wasnt disappointed. Fine acting and good plot lined. Perhaps the familiar line of the cop with demons has been done to death but excellrnt non the lesd.

Poor imitation of scandi noir. It's a shame because it has potential, but the execution is quite poor. The characters are built so amateurishly: very few female characters who are portrayed as weak; the male characters are bullies or have pathological anger issues. Gave 2 stars for the beautiful aerial shots of landscapes.
