EFC is a sports drama that dives into the intense world of mixed martial arts. The film follows reigning MMA champion Cassady Jones as she prepares to face her greatest challenge yet, a title fight against the ambitious and skilled Alexa Star.
The movie has a good balance between the raw pumping action of MMA fights and the complex emotional journey of its female leads. Karlee Rose delivers a powerful performance as Cassidy Jones, effortlessly embodying the grit and determination of her character while also revealing her vulnerable side as she confronts the pressures of maintaining her hard-earned title.
Although the film occasionally falls into predictable sports movie cliches, EFC remains an engaging and emotional drama that showcases the strength and resilience of its female characters. Fans of mixed martial arts and strong, complex leads will find much to appreciate in this powerful and entertaining film.

As someone who enjoys a good fight movie, I was pleasantly surprised by "EFC." When I first heard about it - a female-led movie with intense MMA action - I wasn't sure what to expect, given how often these kinds of films fall short of their potential but this time, I'm thrilled to say, it's different!
Director Jaze Bordeaux successfully combines an engaging story with thrilling fight scenes, creating a sports drama that feels very authentic and relatable. The talented cast delivers powerful performances that had me invested in their characters from start to finish.
What really sets "EFC" apart, however, is its focus on women in the corporate side of MMA competing for the same dollars that usually gets directed to the men's fight promotions. The film doesn't shy away from the struggles anyone would face in that situation, and eventually tells a the story in a way that feels genuine and impactful. So, if you're looking for a female-led MMA film that delivers, look no further than "EFC." With its compelling characters, thrilling action, and important message, it's worth a watch!

"EFC" delivers exceptional and authentic women's MMA fight scenes that outperform those in recent films within the genre. The choreography is top-notch, capturing the raw intensity of the sport and placing viewers in the octagon. As the characters face high-stakes situations both inside and outside the octagon, the acting sometimes toes the line of melodrama but ultimately grounds the story in realism. The actors' intense performances reflect the genuine emotions of adults navigating the pressures of their careers, business and personal lives. While the film has its occasional dramatic excesses, it remains a compelling story of the women's MMA world and the challenges the sport faces. "EFC" is a must-watch for fans of the sport and anyone looking for a gripping, emotionally charged drama.

EFC was actually much better than I expected it to be. The opening fight sequence was very artistic. The movie created a chaotic scene with classical music set in backdrop. The first act felt a bit clumsy largely because the story begins progressing very quickly but the movie seemed to find its footing by the time it hit the second act. EFC is about a struggling women's MMA promotion with limited money trying to go mainstream and hit it big. The story mimics UFC in the 90's when the company was a rag tag fight promotion but eventually went mainstream. EFC delivers some very real and very authentic looking fight scenes. Since the actual fights and their outcome are weaved into the storyline it was hard to predict who would win in any fight sequence. At first glance this movie looks as if it's going to be your typical fight movie with a tale of redemption but the story takes a twist, it actually ends up being much more than that and the characters end up fighting for the future of the sport of women's MMA. The real fight was for something bigger than any character. The performance of the actors and the direction was solid. In the second act John David has to deliver some bad news to Frank the movie villain in a strip club. Oh yes they went there in this women's mma movie but the performance in the scene made the hairs on my skin stand up but overall , EFC is definitely a surprise entry into the sport drama movie arena.

This women's MMA drama dives deep into the lives of its fierce and complex characters, bringing viewers on an emotional roll o coaster ride through the gritty world of EFC and its women's mixed martial arts. The film's blend of intense drama, high-stakes competition, and heartfelt character moments creates a story that is both raw and engaging, resonating deeply with audiences. As a film that breaks the mold and stands out from the crowd, "EFC" is destined to become a cult favorite among fans of MMA, strong female protagonists, and gripping storytelling.

It's not just another fight, it's the fight for everything! The movie was definitely not what I expected a women's fight movie to be. While the first half of the movie put outs some great fights this movie was something like Succession from HBO mixed in with MMA but with a tag line like that it seemed like this was going to be the kind of 90s cheesy movie I grew up watching but the movie had a dramatic take to it and the opening scene set quite the tone for it as well.
I did feel some emotions throughout the movie. Especially when I thought Cassidy died in her fight and that was a heart pounding moment but the comedic moments were the best. My favourite scene is when Cassidy goes to Alexa and says "Its not just another fight, it's the fight for everything!" OMG I died laughing. That was the right amount of cheese I need in my movies on a weekend. Not to mention Frank sounds like Deadpool in a suit!!!
EFC will take you for a ride and entertain you at the same time. As DJ aka the Rock would say, "sit down, shut your mouth and know your role" and EFC definitely knows it role in the movie landscape, If you smell what I'm cooking!

If you're looking for something different, EFC is worth checking out. This movie isn't your usual straightforward story-it's more like a visual journey that pulls you into another world. The director, Jaze Bordeaux, has created a mysterious and almost dreamlike atmosphere that feels surreal but totally captivating.
The plot doesn't spell everything out, which I actually enjoyed because it made me think. It's the kind of movie that leaves things open for interpretation, so don't expect to have every question answered. The cinematography is stunning, with beautiful shots and a moody vibe that kept me hooked. You can tell a lot of thought went into each scene, and that alone makes it memorable.
The cast did a great job, too. The actors bring a lot of emotion to their roles. It's clear they're all-in on creating this unique experience, and it really comes through on screen.
EFC can only receive a 10/10 from me because of the amazing fight scenes. As an indie movie EFC has set a new standard that is now set quite high for fight choreography in movies.
EFC won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're into movies that are more gritty and visual then it's definitely worth a watch. It's one of those films that sticks with you and leaves you thinking afterward. Give it a shot if you're in the mood for something artsy and thought-provoking!

I had mixed feelings about "EFC. The movie is a well-intentioned sports drama that attempts to shed light on the world of women's mixed martial arts. The film follows reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones.
The movie is a visually engaging and it explores the emotional and physical struggles experienced by its female leads as they navigate the male-dominated world of professional MMA. Karlee Rose offers up a strong performance as Cassidy Jones, capturing the grit and determination of her character as she faces strong resistance from her sister Scarlet. The rest of the ensemble cast matches her intensity in the movie.
While the film's fight scenes are expertly choreographed and provide a glimpse into the high-stakes world of MMA, "EFC" falls short in its exploration of the characters' complexities. The narrative often feels shallow and predictable, failing to delve into the depths of the protagonists' personal struggles and motivations.
Despite its shortcomings, "EFC" remains a visually engaging and well-acted sports drama that highlights the unique challenges faced by women in professional sports. Fans of mixed martial arts and strong female leads may find aspects of the film to appreciate, but its predictable storyline and lack of character depth prevent it from reaching its full potential.

"EFC" is a true indie standout that goes beyond the sports genre to deliver a powerful story about resilience, passion, and the human spirit. This film hooked me from the start with its heartfelt storytelling and beautifully crafted characters. Jaze Bordeaux's direction is a standout, capturing both the raw intensity of the fight scenes and the intimate moments that make you deeply care about each character's journey.
The cinematography is breathtaking, immersing you in the world of EFC with gritty authenticity. Every shot feels purposeful, enhancing the drama and tension without ever feeling forced. The cast delivers phenomenal performances, especially in the emotionally charged scenes where you see the inner battles that are as fierce as the ones in the ring.
What makes EFC truly special is its ability to resonate with anyone who has faced obstacles and fought for their dreams. This is more than a sports film-it's an inspirational testament to perseverance and the power of self-belief. It's no surprise that it's won so many awards. EFC is a must-watch for anyone looking for a story that hits hard and stays with you long after the credits roll.

I was thoroughly impressed with "EFC." This movie takes us into the world of women's mixed martial arts, at first the focus is on the rivalry between reigning MMA champion Cassidy Jones and ambitious contender Alexa Star but the movie takes a completely different turn and becomes something else and that's was a great thing.
I was skeptical about another movie being promoted as a MMA movie. Any MMA fan has been down this road before but the fight scenes in this movie kept me on the edge of my seat and are really some of the best stuff put together for a movie and while there's a lot of fight action in this movie, I was completely invested into Cassidy's journey and the demon she was battling in her head.
By the end EFC explored a lot of relevant themes faced by women in professional sports, adding depth to the story but while the plot does become predictable at times, The real fight in this movie will surprise you at the end and I thought it was a fitting way to end the movie. I found "EFC" to be an inspiring and very emotional drama that any fans MMA and strong female characters would enjoy.

I had no expectations for this film, but the marketing caught my eye, and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
EFC is a standout film that genuinely surprised me-in the best way possible. From the very first fight scene, it hooked me visually and emotionally. That opening sequence felt like a dance, blending chaos and grace against a calm classical music backdrop. It was a beautiful and very cinematic way to set the tone, and honestly, one of my favorite scenes. Every detail in that moment felt like poetry in motion.
Now, Jaze Bordeaux's direction? Next level. How is this even his debut? The story he tells isn't just a sports narrative; it's so much more. The depth, emotion, and layers make it a truly special film.
And can we take a moment to appreciate the fight cinematography? Absolutely stunning. The choreography and camera work deserve all the accolades. Just for that alone, this movie earns a 10/10. Pair that with a score that perfectly complements the story's emotional beats, and you've got a winning combination.
The performances are another highlight. Every actor brought their character to life with authenticity, making them feel real and relatable. Even if sports films aren't your thing, the human story at the core of EFC will resonate with you. By the end, I found myself deeply invested and genuinely moved.
This might not be for everyone, but if you're looking for a film with heart and substance, EFC is absolutely worth the watch.

As an avid movie watcher and MMA fan, I found "EFC" to be a well-rounded and engaging film that strikes a great balance between thrilling fight action and compelling drama.
Often with fight movies the fights are just thrown in to showcase a cool fight scene to appease the audience or for marketing purposes. The fight action in the movie wasn't random but feels like it was written into the storyline. Each fight had purpose and meaning to it and moved the narrative forward.
"EFC" is a solid mix of fight action and drama that should satisfy both MMA enthusiasts and fans of compelling storytelling. With its talented female leads and thrilling fight sequences, I really enjoyed the time I invested watching it.

I'm always open to something combat sport related but this is not even close to watchable. Absolutely no realism involved in this rubbish. Some of the cast can act but the material they are given allows them no room to stand out from the mediocrity of this production. As a long time MMA watcher & sometime practitioner, this is an insult & barely worth the time & money to make. No redeeming qualities what so ever. Reminds me of Hector Echavarrias earlier attempts at flawed film making, but at least he had some decent fighting scenes. Why the hell would you make another movie featuring womens MMA, it's worse than WMBA and no one watches that rubbish either. Laughable.
EFC is a cinematic triumph that does more than entertain-it inspires. Directed by Jaze Bordeaux, this film shines a spotlight on the relentless pursuit of excellence. From its breathtaking cinematography to its heartfelt storytelling, every frame is infused with passion and purpose.
What truly sets EFC apart is how it captures the human spirit in its rawest form. It doesn't just tell a story; it immerses you in the struggles, triumphs, and sacrifices of its characters, making their victories feel like your own. The authenticity of the performances and the depth of the narrative left me reflecting on my own goals and challenges.
The musical score by Obediya Jones Darrell elevates every scene, blending seamlessly with the visuals to create an emotional resonance that stays with you long after the credits roll.
EFC isn't just a movie-it's a movement. It reminds us of the power of determination and how greatness is forged in the fires of adversity. If you're looking for a film that will uplift and inspire you, EFC is a must-watch. Cuddo to the entire team for creating a masterpiece that truly matters.
