American Horror Story Roanoke Chapter 7 featured scare after non-stop scare. And gore. Plenty of gore. I am talking death by the bucket load! I can safely say that "Chapter 7" will go down as one of my favorite installments of American Horror Story ever. It was legitimately unsettling and just plain creepy, on so many different levels. "The bad guy's always the lead on every show. Now let me ask you something else, judgmental motherf*ckers. What's more important than screen time? Huh?"- Dominic played by Cuba Gooding Jr.
Uh, how about your life? This episode was very much a slasher like film. It was killing off important characters one by one by one. And I feel like the rest of the season will be just that, and I am actually okay with that. As long as they keep the story consistent, it is well written, and it stays focused on the amazing story they have created. I do feel like this episode was a step down from the previous episode directed by Angela Bassett. Not that it is a bad episode, but I believe the series can and have done better. This episode marked the return of many Ghouls, Ghost, Cannibals, and Former Cast Members getting assaulted.
So these are my final Bitchin' Buddha thoughts on Chapters 6 and 7. The show has a fresh focus that is starting off well. I like how this show is taking chances, having fun, and more importantly keeping viewers invested. Chapter 7 is a little weak and feels like a filler episode. On the other hand, I can't wait for the next episode! And I think you will enjoy it as well.
