Bring Me the Horizon have unveiled a cover of fellow UK band Oasis’ classic tune “Wonderwall” as a “Spotify Singles” exclusive (stream below). The track is paired with a new remix of the song “YOUtopia” from Bmth’s 2024 album, Post Human: NeX GEn.

While not super heavy, Bring Me the Horizon’s version of “Wonderwall” adds some metalcore elements to the alt-rock ballad, as singer Oli Sykes transitions from clean-sung verses to a screamed chorus.

The cover comes ahead of Oasis’ highly anticipated reunion tour, which includes a summer North American leg (pick up tickets here).

Meanwhile, Bring Me the Horizon are set to play the Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park festivals in Germany in early June, and the Reading/Leeds festivals in the UK in late August.

Outfest has announced the complete lineup for its 40th-anniversary Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival, which will take place from July 14-24 at multiple locations throughout Los Angeles.

More than 200 films, representing 29 countries, will screen as part of this year’s lineup. 42 will make their world premieres, including the doc Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story from Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films and Pulse Films; the UK feature Phea, starring Sherika Sherard; Mercedes Kane’s Art and Pep; and Scout Durwood’s Youtopia.

Outfest Los Angeles’ Episodics section will also feature a host of world premieres, including advanced looks at at Shudder’s forthcoming docuseries Queer for Fear; the comedy special Queer Riot, headlined by Margaret Cho; and writer-producer Des Moran’s series halfsies, as well as a free sneak peek screening of the upcoming Prime Video series A League of Their Own, starring Abbi Jacobson.

French media conglomerate Mediawan is to adapt Leonine Studios’ digital event show “YouTopia” for the French market. The deal is an early example of a pan-European collaboration between the two companies, who recently set up a European studio that united 61 production companies from France, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia, Spain and the U.K.

“YouTopia” is an innovative format, developed by i&u TV – a Leonine Studios company. It was awarded the Nrw Media Prize for Development Policy Commitment on Wednesday. The award honors audiovisual online content on the topics of development cooperation and global goals that succeeds in reaching new target groups via digital content and social media in an innovative way.
