Recently, Ubisoft confirmed that there will be no skill-based matchmaking in XDefiant in the Casual Play mode. Sbmm mainly sets players in queues with a similar range of levels.

Many games have tried to knock Call of Duty from the top spot when it comes to multiplayer. While fans have no shortage of complaints, it’s the first franchise that comes to mind when someone says “online shooter.”

Given that the series featured multiplayer in 2003, it’s no small feat that there hasn’t been a multiplayer franchise big enough to dethrone it. The streak continues as Ubisoft’s XDefiant fails to live up to the hype, with many fans saying the game is just not working out.

Billy Idol has announced an expanded reissue of his 1982 self-titled debut album, out July 28th.

The reissue arrives a month before Idol embarks on his North American tour, which kicks off August 27th in Vancouver, with tickets available here. The run will most certainly see the rock legend performing songs from his debut, including his massive hit “White Wedding.”

The expanded reissue will be available in a 2-cd physical format and features the original 10-song tracklist and a previously unreleased extended 12-minute Clubland remix of “White Wedding” on the first disc. A previously unreleased 15-song concert, recorded at The Roxy in West Hollywood in 1982, is included on the second disc. A standard single LP repressing of the original album will also be available along with a bundled lithograph.

Director-screenwriter Stephen C. Sepher seems to have missed an opportunity with his new thriller inspired by the classic 1949 film noir D.O.A., starring Edmond O'Brien. Rehashing the storyline of a man who's been fatally poisoned desperately trying to uncover the identity of his killer, Dead on Arrival should have pointed the finger at the obvious suspect, Vladimir Putin. It certainly would have made the film timelier.   

This low-budget effort is unlikely to erase anyone's memories of its classic B-movie inspiration, or even the inferior 1988 remake starring Dennis Quaid. But taken on its own terms, it's not bad.

The noir thriller is inspired by director Rudolph Mate’s 1950 thriller D.O.A.

D.O.A Blood River will follow Sam Collins as a pharmaceutical sales rep, who visits a small town in Louisiana to close a business deal of a lifetime. Collins enters a world of sex, corruption and murder—as he is poisoned with no antidote. In a search for answers, he turns to a local girl named Jesse, in which their path leads to a voodoo priestess that confirms Sam’s fate.
