This short film not only makes a timely social commentary but does it in a way that promotes empathy, compassion, and understanding.
It is a story about a young girl who moves to a new town and struggles to make friends. Yet it is remade with the modern-day watcher in mind. It is a portrait of the millennial's struggle with acceptance. The main character struggles with loneliness in the real world as much as social media. I related to the protagonist on many levels, and I think many others will too.
I have not watched many short films and was surprised by how inspiring such a short segment can be! I was also impressed with how fluid the communication was without any spoken lines. This film is unique and worth watching.
