Russell Crowe’s one of the greatest cinematic works was riddled with script issues right from the beginning. Ridley Scott’s Gladiator had a difficult production owing to the multiple script rewrites and the death of actor Oliver Reed before the production was completed. Crowe was frustrated with the script throughout the film, but fans only remember iconic lines from the actor in the film.

Crowe at one point complained about the “trash writing” on the film and shared that his lines were garbage. However, he was so confident in his skill that he claimed he could make it work. The result was some amazing dialogue delivery from A Beautiful Mind actor, including his iconic vengeance speech.

For as long as survival horror has existed, confounding puzzles and bewildering navigation have been staples of the experience. Granted, they did fall out of fashion for a brief period in the late-noughties — when games like Dead Space and Resident Evil 5 pivoted in a more action-oriented direction — but generally they have been mainstays of the genre ever since the very beginning.
Although it’s up for debate where those origins actually, you know, originated, the original Alone in the Dark at least belongs in the conversation. It may have arrived a little later than kitschy Fmv outings like Night Trap and some of those side-scrolling movie tie-ins — which, let’s be honest, were just bog-standard platformers anyway — but it’s where the style as we understand it today was properly codified.

Plenty of haunted, Halloween and holiday options will crop up on Netflix in the month of October. Tom Sandoval tried to play a verbal shell game on Vanderpump Rules but the walls are closing in on him during the latest episode. Round and round he went misusing the term “dip out” in an attempt to throw everyone off the scent, including Lisa Vanderpump.
The “secret” affair between Sandoval and Raquel Leviss appears to be bubbling to the surface, although the cast and crew claimed ignorance, they were suspicious. Their suspicions went into overdrive during the latest episode when Leviss admitted to Vanderpump that the reason she was an hour and a half late for work was that she got drunk with Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. And then spent the night at Sandoval’s house.
Leviss essentially came clean … but left out the part where she and Sandoval probably hooked up. But when Vanderpump questions Sandoval, he stumbles with his lies, telling Vanderpump that Leviss just “dipped out.

Rapper Bad Bunny’s album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ has clinched another non-consecutive week at number one, its 11th time at the top spot out of 19 weeks since its release.
Not since Drake’s ‘Views’ logged 13 non consecutive weeks at number 1 in 2016 had a similar feat been reached, reports ‘Variety’.
Both ‘Views’ and ‘Un Verano’ runs were non-consecutive, however, Bad Bunny has yet to slip below a No. 2 slot. ‘Un Verano’ enters with the equivalent of 97,000 album sales in the US, according to Luminate via Billboard.
Former One Direction member Harry Styles also accomplishes a historic mark of 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, the longest stay at number one since Lil Nas X’s chart-topping ‘Old Town Road’, feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, logged 19 weeks in 2019.

It was a beautiful week for rapper Rod Wave, whose “Beautiful Mind” debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the tracking week that ended August 18. He accumulated 115,000 equivalent album units based on the combination of traditional album sales, individual track sales, and online streams. That was enough to knock Bad Bunny out of the top spot (for now), but it was a close call. Read more about this week’s chart here at Billboard.com.

Rod Wave is only 23-years-old, but this is already his second number-one album and his fourth top-10 album. His 2019 studio debut “Ghetto Gospel” peaked at number-10. Then his 2020 followup “Pray 4 Love” reached number-two. It was 2021’s “SoulFly” that finally got Wave to the top spot with 130,000 album units, a little more than he achieved with “Beautiful Mind.” All three of his previous albums have been certified platinum.

Rod Wave is an unabashed romantic, deploying a voice that blends airy pop melodies, emo yelps and guttural country rap idioms. On his fourth album, Beautiful Mind, the 22-year-old St. Petersburg, Florida vocalist gushes about love in a way that seems unusual for someone so closely identified with rap. “I don’t wanna be alone…don’t leave me alone,” he pleads anxiously on “Leave Me Alone.” He’s a complicated man, teetering between career ambition, melancholy introspection, macho aggression, and heartbroken sensitivity. And while he carefully avoids suicidal ideation,...

It’s Halloween night, and the thing that most terrifies teenage misfit Kelly Ferguson (Tamara Smart) is making it through the popular kids’ party without being called “Monster Girl.” After the ill-advised choice to tell her peers about a traumatic incident of almost getting snatched by a monster as a child, the unfortunate nickname has stuck and tanked all hope of ever joining the in-crowd. It’s useful, then, that her mother (Crystal Balint) promised Kelly’s babysitting services to her ice queen boss Ms. Zellman (Tamsen McDonough) and her problem child Jacob (Ian Ho). But when that adorable child gets snatched by the same otherworldly creature that once haunted Kelly, the hapless caretaker is thrown into a secret underworld and gets her first lesson in A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting.

‘Russian Doll’ Star Natasha Lyonne Talks Season 2 Plans and Using a ‘Serial Killer’-Style Storyboard
If you thought keeping track of all the time loops in “Russian Doll” was a little overwhelming, then just imagine how much work sorting through those threads was for star/co-creator Natasha Lyonne. But just because it was tough doesn’t mean Lyonne, who was nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series on Tuesday for her performance in the first season of the Netflix series, didn’t love that aspect of the complex project.

Spike Lee took to the stage at 194 Piccadilly in London to deliver BAFTA’s annual David Lean lecture. Previous speakers have included Paul Greengrass, Robert Altman, Peter Weir, Oliver Stone and David Lynch – but none of those filmmakers was as outspoken in their lecture as Lee.
In a lively 90-minute talk, which concluded with a Q&A, Lee addressed a wide range of topics from the Oscars to Donald Trump to his new movie “BlacKkKlansman.” In between, he played various clips from both his own films – including “Malcolm X” and “25th Hour” – as well as classics by others, such as David Lean’s “The Bridge on the River Kwai.”
Lee wasn’t afraid to ruffle feathers during his lecture, first discussing the treatment of black people in Hollywood and in cinema following a clip from his 2000 movie “Bamboozled.” As he observed, “This movie is about demonization and degradation of black people.
