This short film spoofs American Psycho (2000), which starred Christian Bale. Both he and Margot Robbie played DC characters. Bale played Batman in The Dark Knight trilogy and Robbie played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016). Jared Leto, who also starred in American Psycho (2000), played the Joker in Suicide Squad (2016).
The Hamilton poster in the bathroom reads: Margot, Don't throw away your shot! X, Lin M. Lin-Manual Miranda is credited with creating Hamilton.
The Scripts on the bed are not real but crated for the clip. Both have United Artists, 1-800-555-UNITED in the lower left hand corner. The script on top has HARLEY VS. You can see only 2 commercially available items in Margot's refrigerator. The rest are small containers of repackaged foods. One is Vegemite, a brewers yeast based product that is ubiquitous with Australian culture. The second item is Aloe Vera Juice by Lily of the Desert, a natural laxative that explains why she's in the bathroom at the beginning of the clip.
