This show started off so good, with such good story, with such good dialogues, such good costumes and music, and basically everything else was good near the beginning of the show.
But as the show went on, as the Vanwas started, this show also lost it's enthu, and slowly started detoriating.
This show is nice before the Vanwas Saga, but deteriorates after Vanwas starts.

The show is really beautiful and all the cast are so perfect. The only reason i'm giving this 8 stars because the story has some flaws if we compare it from Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana there are many important characters which is missing from this version of ramayana such as a tribal friend of lord rama who guides bharat and others to the location of lord rama's hut, Ravana's all sons and his wifes, Adding masala like sahastra ravan, kali as sita, a wrong character tarini(which is quite common in today's TV shows). Otherwise the show is 87% true to the original ramayan. I can really bet if the best TV Ramayam listing is done then 1st would be ramanand sagar's ramayan then 2nd would be siya ke ram.
This serial had a potential to become one of the best versions of Ramayan but opportunity wasted.
Pros:
Cons:
Pros:
- Very wonderful dialogs, writer has taken care of authentic Hindi language.
- Acting of most of the actors are good.
- CGI is somewhat better than most of the movies.
Cons:
- Tooooooo many dialogs, every characters, specially Sita talks too much. If someone is talking, doesn't stop.
- Not accurate, many distortion in the story to make it interesting.
- Few bad actors like Ravan, Kaikasi etc. Dialog delivery of Ravan is awful.
- If episodes were below 200, it would have much impactful.

I can watch whole season two three times just for see acting of Ashish. His eyes are enough.
Also Mundel's voice and look so sweet.
Another view point of Ramayana.

All the characters have done amazing work 👍 especially Ashish(Ram),sita, laxman, urmila.
But most precious acting was done by Janak who played (Sita father) he was full in his role.
Serial was presented very well 🙂

Yes it may not exactly match the old Ramayan as the old Ramayan was from Ramcharit Manas by Tulsidas which is more popular where as this is from Adbhut Ramayan by Valmiki.
Also it is from the Sita's perspective.
The actors did the best job here. Asish as Lord Ram & Madirakshi as Sita were perfectly matched. Also Laksman, Ravana & Hanuman were played so well by the actors.
I literally enjoyed every single episode of it twice.

Siya Ke Ram is a brilliant series depicting the true incidents of our great Itihaasa "Ramayana" from the perspective of mother Sita. From the beginning to the end, the show keeps you completely engaged.
Siya Ke Ram is possibly one of the biggest Indian TV productions. It doesn't exactly follow the Ramayana, and thus I won't call it an exact iteration of the Ramayana, since the point here is to showcase Ramayana from Sita's perspective, and surely, this show does a great job at doing so.
I recently saw this on Hotstar after seeing Mahabharat (2013). This had much better VFX and CGI. In fact, it's the best we've seen on Indian television till now. It's been nearly 4 years since this show was on broadcast and we're yet to see an Indian show that beats Siya Ke Ram when it comes ot VFX and CGI.
Coming to characters, boy did Ashish Sharma do a wonderful job playing the Lord. And my second best favorite was the lad who played Ravana - he did a wonderful job as well.
The chaupayis and soundtrack was pretty good as well.
However, the reason I'll be cutting off 2 stars is purely because this was marketed as Ramayana and it clearly wasn't that. Right from the beginning it shows Ayodhya as a repressive kingdom. Sita doesn't change her expressions throughout the show. Unnecessary Kaikey drama, some things were stretched way too much then required. And then the unnecessary feminism thing that was really not needed here.
At the end of the day, this show should not be your point of reference for the Ramayana. And don't compare this to Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana either - that will forever remain as the best Ramayana iteration ever made.

"Siya Ke Ram" is an extraordinary television series that captivated me from the very first episode. The performances in "Siya Ke Ram" are nothing short of spectacular. Madirakshi Mundle brings Sita to life with a performance that is both powerful and nuanced. Her portrayal of Sita's unwavering strength and compassion is deeply moving and inspirational. Ashish Sharma, who plays Lord Rama, is equally impressive. His nuanced performance captures Rama's righteousness, humility, and deep love for Sita, creating a character that is both admirable and relatable. The chemistry between Madirakshi Mundle and Ashish Sharma is palpable, making their portrayal of one of mythology's most revered couples both heartfelt and inspiring.
The supporting cast also delivers exceptional performances. Karan Suchak as Lakshman, Karthik.

This series is lenghty but somehow it is watchable and acceptable. At first i didn't like but after crossing episode 100 i found interesting. Actually this is not 100% Ramayana but it uses Ramayana theme to narrates the story from Sita's perspective.

Siya ke Ram one of the best mythological serial I have ever seen. First of all the casting....so amazing! Ashish and Madurakshi did great job. The Janak's character played by Bijay Anand & he is so fit in that role. Dalip tahil, Karthik Jayram also played well. The music is awesoqqme. The show gives importance to the presence of Sita. It shown her point of view. This show also tells the story of Shanta( Ram's elder sister) Gargi, Ahilya. Some said it's slow going so I think it's not slow going. This show has shown the perspective of every important character. The story of shanta, Bramhrishi vashishta, Bramharishi Vishwamitra, Ahilya, Gargi mata, story of Mithila before site's birth ..everything is so well written. Director Nikhil sinha, Dharmesh shah, writer C. L. ji did outstanding job.

I loved 2008 Ramayan where Gurmeet and Debina played Ram and Sita. That one had such a good casting! This Ramayan had better effects but the plot was way wrong! The only thing I liked was Ashish's acting, he could just act with his eyes! Also, they should have casted a better Sita who knows to act first of all, her acting literally made me cringe sometimes.
Its great. There are improvisations for ramayan. But nothing out of line. Best romance i have ever watched or read. I watched it about 4 or 5 times. Its an inian household story since it had started airing. Most people who actually watch this show wouldnt review here or else the rating would be much better. Great actors. Good graphics for a tv serial. Lot of angst. Potrayal of emotions is very very good. Eveyone must watch the show. People might not have patience to read ramayana. This show might is a great way to remedy that. Its in sita maas perspective. It is said ramayan is maa sitas story. Ram is her husband. We can see the main plot of ramayan always revolves around sita whether it may be swayamvara or abduction or agnipariksha or ram leaving her in forest or ram making golden idol of sita or sita finally reching bumatha.

There is a lot of wrong plot in it, this reality does not describe the Ramayana.
No no don't call it Ramayana, this wasn't Ramayana neither the characters were close to the orignal's. It's better to watch for Real story Ramanand Sagar "Ramayana" (1987) & B R Chopra "Mahabharata"(1988)

They literally strechted this show so much. Showing in detail is different but stretching it more makes you bored . I really found it more dramatic and daily soap. Watched some episodes of it but get bored. No more curiosity to know what will happen next. And also i am not able to relate with the characters ( cast) except Ashish sir and madirakshi mam. Can't relate much with the other cast. And in somewhere places found this extra dramatic and overacting by some actors
Story is not fully accurate. Its a good show but i found it little boring. ( its my opinion) Costumes, jwellery, locations, dialogues, sets were good . Whereas Shrimad Ramayan i found more interesting than this ( except uttarkand - luv kush part).

Citing a different take on the "Ramayana" as an excuse to develop this series, the makers do nothing but destroy the very essence of the Itihaas. The writing is offensive, uninformed and misleading. Plotlines are adapted to cater to the taste of masala-loving audiences. Drama is added for the same end. Actors are below average. They don't know the value and essence of the characters they are essaying. It is really disturbing to watch Ramayan being adapted in such a manner on screen. I had not watched the series when it had aired, but when I watched it later on I realised how the makers have been careless about the adaptation of such a historically and religiously important work.
