The crew filmed the majority of the film at Paronella Park near Innisfail, Far North Queensland. Paronella Park is open to the public.
The kid goat who's real name is "Magoatda" was actually found via a Gumtree advertisement, as opposed to traditionally auditioning for the role.
The girl who plays young Jack's friend was not an actress, but a student from the local town studying opera.
