Great screenplay, incredible solutions, wonderful scenes and pictures!
The movie shows one of the true face of Hungary: bittersweet, corrupt and power-centered. The director could gives us a harsh sample of an everyday family business and house-project in 21st century. It is how it's going on: never enough, everybody is frustrated for different reasons and the tense is persistent.
With more attention to details in certain scenes, it would be a 10 stars movie. I would need more preconditions of the actions, to know more about the motivations and thoughts.
All in all I would recommend it !

On Body and Soul is very good film, nominated for Oscar this year. Kojot is an other genre, but similar quality. Highly recommended to see
The basic premis of the story is that of an abusive rich man that covets all the land around the town he controls.
The appearance of Misi, a disoriented bank clerk that has to deal with a new home in which he wants to live calm with his girlfriend crumbles when the.chieftain wants to get his land.
A topic narrated several times in Westerns, this one happens nowadays and implies moral values and resisting a powerful contender who does not fight in a clean way.

If you are unable to see the references taken by Hungary its history, its present, its society you probably won't understand this movie...
I would recommend this to anybody (especially Eastern Europeans) but as I see it was written about us, by us, for us.

I barely made it past the first scene - literally. The writing, acting, and especially the overdubs are about the worst I've ever seen in all my years of being a moviegoer. I'm not sure how many of these stellar reviews are cast and crew versus both paid reviewers and morons, but I can't believe this steaming pile of manure has gotten any legitimate praise. This "movie" is up there with "The Room" when it comes to incoherent, nonsensical writing, piss-poor acting, cliche plot lines, and sheer lunacy.
I know people love to say "worse movie ever" when they don't like something. One look my reviews would reveal that I have never once said that. This cinematic case of the runs is absolutely one of the three worst movies I've ever tried to watch.

Like many films of the last decades from East- Central Europe, more a diagnosis than a film. Because the themes are familiar- family, corruption, power and the stranger on mined territory. But the film is real great. For performances, for cinematography, for storytelling and for dramatism. And , off course, for the epic fights. But the film has another virtue - the clash between people and fair order, in this case represented by dog, bull or deer. The end- poetic , off course, could be better. But, not doubts, it is a precise diagnosis . And not only for Hungarian realities.

How on God's green earth did this film get 7 stars. In my 60+ years on this earth I can think of very few movies that were this bad. Bad plot, bad writing, bad acting, just plain BAD. DO NOT waste your time on this movie. I promise you will only come away with regrets.
Muggy heat, small-town bleakness, unspoken social problems, hierarchy fights. This is Tuzko town, somewhere in Hungary, nowadays. Here comes Misi who inherits his grandfather's house and his property. Misi is a disillusioned, frustrated, constantly refugee young man. He can't find his role in his life, his job and relationship. He starts to build and renovate the house with some men from the town, but it violates the local oligarch's interests. Hard struggle begins for the property, for the love and for the life.

The actors are extremely bad, the story is boring. On top of that, the whole movie is a bull$hit. Basically, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Typical low budget movie.
So the premise, plot sounded okay. I thought it'd be your classic "underdog is bullied but somehow overcomes the bully and wins", but this doesn't exactly fit that. The opening alone is just out of left field and disjointed.
Character development is slow and odd. Estranged relationships that never heal. Rash, illogical actions abound. It seems to want to follow a successful recipe but it just falls flat. There's no clear winner and no Justice or revelation had. Camera work is a bit challenged here and there. Dialogue is also flat. Makeup and some effects are hokie and poorly done. It's certainly not worth watching. I was working while it played so at least I didn't lose the time, just the brain cells from watching it!
