Characters are shot in the back, stabbed through the ear with a ballpoint pen, killed in an airport in a way that leaves dark lines through face and neck veins and arteries, hit with a pendant lamp, hit with a shovel, stabbed with a large knife, and attempts are made to poison them.

'Fuck' and 'shit' make frequent appearances.

Wine and spirits consumed in huge quantities by one character, and more moderately by others. A character talks of drugs used to induce death to a range of timescales.
