Arguably the best Batman and Joker combo in history is getting back together one last time, and the reunion comes as a pretty sizable surprise. Mark Hamill will once again reprise his role as The Joker alongside the late Kevin Conroy's Batman. Conroy voiced the Caped Crusader for decades, from "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early '90s through Conroy's much-too-early death in 2022. We knew Conroy's voice would be used as Batman once again, and now it has been confirmed that Hamill will be reuniting with his former co-star in one of Conroy's final posthumous performances.

Joaquin Phoenix left a huge impression in the first “Joker” trailer that Warner Bros. debuted this week, first to massive buzz at CinemaCon and then online where it quickly became a viral sensation. The Todd Phillips-directed movie stars the three-time Oscar nominee as the famous Batman villain. Last week the first trailer was released for a new sci-fi/horror comedy series called Critters: A New Binge, which is coming to Shudder. Now, we learning that the SyFy Channel secretly shot a new Critters movie based on director Stephen Herek’s 1986 cult film.

According to JoBlo, the project has already finished production. It was shot in South Africa and it was directed by Bobby Miller (The Cleanse). The best part of this is, the original film’s lead actress Dee Wallace is also said to star in the film! She hinted at her involvement with the film in an interview with Bionic Buzz, which you can watch below.

There are no details about the new Critters movie, and there were a bunch of production photos posted on Instagram, but many of those photos have since been removed after word got out.

The classic Critters horror film franchise is returning in the form of a TV series that’s set for streaming service Shudder.

Critters may be but one of several campy horror franchises from the 1980s to – akin to the soon-to-be-animated Gremlins – feature diminutive multiplying mini-monsters, but the imagery of its eponymous alien invaders – resembling demonic bipedal versions of Star Trek Tribbles with shark teeth and T-Rex arms – make them especially memorable, even if the poster image of the toilet monster from Ghoulies was more memorable in its ability to make tense experiences out of nature’s call for a generation. In the view of this writer, Swamp Thing is certainly poised for his next pop culture boom. Upon posting the first trailer for Reign of the Supermen the other day, I knew in my bones that much more info regarding the next DC animated movie was sure to follow. And as it turns out, my suspicion proved correct because Warner Bros. have pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated followup to The Death of Superman.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait for too much longer, as the film will drop digitally on January 15, 2019, with Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack releases bringing up the rear on January 29. Basically, this was what we expected after taking past quarter one debuts into account.

Naturally, a killer voice cast will be along for the ride, for the official press release confirms the return of various favorites carrying over from the first flick:

I know many people who would rejoice at the fact that The Thundercats would be returning to TV again. To see Lion-o, wielding the Sword of Omens once more, vanquishing Mum-Ra and his minions would be fantastic. I know I’d be looking forward to it and when Cartoon Network told us just that I was intrigued. Right up until I saw what was in store for us with the upcoming Thundercats Roar!

Warner Bros. Animation is developing a new ThunderCats animated series for Cartoon Network called ThunderCats Roar, and it's definitely not was I was expecting. I am a huge fan of the original ThunderCats series but what they are doing here definitely isn't what I want in a ThunderCats series. ThunderCats was a badass show, and although it's different, I'm not seeing anything really badass about this.

EW released the promo art above and a sneak peek video below that features producer Victor Courtright, who explains that ThunderCats Roar plans on staying true to the original’s premise and will feature tons of action, but that it will also lean into the comedy of the world:

Warner Bros. has released a new piece of promo art for their upcoming animated series Young Justice: Outsiders, which will serve as the third season for the classic Young Justice animated series. This art offers us our best look at the return of the animated series yet. It features some familiar faces alongside a few new ones.

From left to right, in the background, we have Tigress, Black Lightning, and Superboy. In the forefront, there's Katana, Geoforce, Wylde, maybe Solstice, Metamorpho, and Nightwing.

In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.

Warner Bros have released a new trailer for the family-friendly animation Smallfoot, a tale which turns the Bigfoot legend upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist—a human.

The film is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick, Award-winning director of Over the Hedge and Annie nominee for the screenplays for Chicken Run and James and the Giant Peach. The voice cast includes Channing Tatum as the Yeti, Migo, and James Corden as the Smallfoot, Percy. Also starring are Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Common (Selma), LeBron James (upcoming Space Jam 2), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi (TV’s Black-ish), Ely Henry (TV’s Justice League Action), and Jimmy Tatro (22 Jump Street).

General audiences know him best as the heroic Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars saga, but DC fans idolize Mark Hamill for his turn to the Dark Side. The actor has played Batman’s nemesis the Joker across numerous media for over 25 years now, beginning with the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. To many, his vocal performance perfectly captures all aspects of the supervillain: his charm and humour, yet also his monstrous, murderous side.

In an interview with Sway’s Universe, Hamill talked about where exactly his portrayal of the Joker comes from. The star revealed that, back when he started doing B:tas, he was influenced by a strange mix of inspirations, including classic black-and-white horror The Invisible Man and TV personalities like Howard Cosell and Jay Leno.

With the recent Dceu movie turning out to be not as good as it could have been, there’s still no beating the Justice League animated series as the finest screen adaptation of DC’s super-team to date. Airing from 2001 to 2006 (if you count the revamped Justice League Unlimited as the same show), the series is still remembered fondly – hence the interest in getting the cast back together for a reunion.

As part of the ongoing social media campaign to get Warner Bros. Animation to put something together, actress Susan Eisenberg – who played Wonder Woman – shared a Tweet to whip up some support from fans. In response, one individual questioned whether Mark Hamill could be involved as well, given that he played the Joker in several episodes of the show, which was a spinoff of the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series.

One of the biggest fan favourite villains on The Flash is the Trickster, as played by DC legend Mark Hamill. Though he’s most known for voicing the Joker since the 1990s, Hamill has also played the Trickster on both the 1990 TV series starring John Wesley Shipp and The CW’s modern interpretation.

While he appeared in guest spots throughout the show’s first three seasons, Hamill has been a no-show in season 4 so far. You might have thought that this was to do with the actor being too busy with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it turns out he’s just waiting for the call to be asked back. I wish I had a grandchild to enjoy Scooby-Doo! and Batman: The Brave and the Bold with since I am far from the target audience. I was outgrowing Saturday morning TV when Scooby and the gang debuted and never warmed up to them. Over time, the troublesome teens have encountered countless pop culture celebrities in their storied career but this, their fourth meeting with the Caped Crusader, is a record.

Black Canary was cool. Batman: The Animated Series (Btas) is the definitive Batman in my book. Put the two together and you’ve got amazing potential. Paul Dini, one of the writers for Btas, talked about this with Cbr recently mentioning that the reason Black Canary wasn’t introduced was to feature Robin in more episodes. Dini states:

It’s the question DC fans have been asking ever since the Man of Steel sacrificed himself to take down Doomsday in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice: just how exactly is Superman going to return from the dead in Justice League? As fans of the actor will know, Mark Hamill is a true DC icon thanks to his countless voiceover roles across TV shows, movies and video games over the past twenty or so years. But we’ve never seen him voice every character on screen at once… Until now, that is.

In “Missing the Mark,” the Joker and the Trickster team up to kidnap “famous movie star” Mark Hamill in the hopes of earning a heap of money for his ransom fee. Hamill himself shared the short on his Twitter feed and hilariously captioned it: “The only time I’ve ever done anything while sleeping with the entire cast.”

NBC's live-action Constantine series may be no more, but the actor who played the beloved demon hunter, Matt Ryan, returns to voice the iconic character in a new digital animated series that was teased at New York Comic Con in the show's first footage ahead of its premiere on the CW Seed streaming service, and you can now watch it online in case you weren't at the Javits Center over the weekend:

Right now, plot details remain under wraps, but it’s expected that the feature film be a larger scale continuation of the adventures seen on the Cartoon Network animated series on which it’s based. As a successor of the original Teen Titans show, the newer incarnation is much more light-hearted, as its 11-minute episodes focus more on whimsy, song and other things that have proven to be highly divisive amongst DC fans.

DC Entertainment has released a clip from their upcoming new animated series Constantine, giving us our first look at the animated version of the character in action. The series actually looks a lot better than what I was expecting! The animation is pretty solid and it's great to see Matt Ryan bringing the demon hunting character to life again. I always like Matt Rayn in this role. He brought the perfect kind of attitude and charm to the character that you can't help but like.

It may have been cancelled a couple of years ago, but Constantine, along with it’s star Matt Ryan, refuse to go down without a fight! The latest news, from this years New York Comic Con, is that Ryan to reprise his role in a guest appearance as John Constantine in the forthcoming season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as well as voicing the character in a new animated series from CW Seed.
