If Saints and Sinners turns out to be Bounce TV's flagship program, then Bounce TV should be proud! Saints and Sinners is a fantastic edgy, gritty show! Mayor Lady Ella ain't messin around when someone crosses her or messes with her family! I love Vanessa Bell Calloway as Lady Ella! This show is on par with Empire, Greenleaf, and trumps all daytime soaps! And now that Bounce has expanded its season to 13 episodes, it can hook more viewers on its drama, sexy romance, and blazing action that to me, rivals what I saw on The Wire, from which two of its cast members cut their chops. I rate the show an eight. If the show had a sharper look on my TV, I would give it a ten. Good job Bounce TV!

So this show is def entertaining if you like this sort of stuff. And if you do, I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's basically a soap opera set in a southern black church. The writing is pretty bad at times and definitely lacks substance. The storylines are ok overall but some of the conversations would never happen bc ppl would never say those things lol. Acting is pretty good as well. But wow the misogyny! I cringe literally every episode at some of the ways the women are portrayed, things they say and the way they behave. But I keep watching for the drama I guess lol. Overall I like the show and it keeps me entertained, it just has plenty of cringe and eye roll moments - like any good soap I guess!

As a black cinema connoisseur I already knew this was gonna be good when I saw Clifton Powell, Vanessa Calloway, and JD Williams in it. And boy do they not disappoint. Not only are they good but it's acting of the other stars like Demetria Mckinney and Jasmine Burke that jump out at me too. The plot is crazy, it has plenty of twists and unexpected turns that the story takes and it's really addictive. I binged watched seasons 1-3 in a matter of 2 days. Keep up the good work Bounce TV. FYI the series is available for streaming on BrownSugar and or Bouncetv's website for those of you who don't have the tv network like myself.

We need to stop glorifying gangs and violence. Why are we portraying churches as "in bed with" these kinds of violent criminals? No wonder our children and fathers think it's okay.

Saints and sinners is one of the best night time soaps in the last 20 yearsthere's a lot of solid acting but the true standout is Vanessa Bell calloway she remind me of the night time soap divas of the 1980s like a modern-day version of Alexis Carrington saints and sinners is definitely worth the watch
Seasons one and two great seasons 3 and 4 solid

Great premise and good performance delivery by a Strong main cast. However, as the story progressed, it lacked depth and seemed hollow and sketchy at times. Also, the way too frequent B/C-list cameos seemed no more than a gratuitous and over-hyped way to boost the storyline. I was also overwhelmed by the level of violence, greed and depravity, with scant good, remorse, or redemption. The ironic thing for me is that of all the characters, as the story progresses, Rex (I'm not condoning his behavior) turns out to have the most integrity. Regardless of his antics, he openly proclaimed exactly who he was. This series rings true with Christ's declaration that, "The people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light." Luke 16:8. This is one verse of a passage from verses 1-9 in which he acknowledges that the worldly use shrewdness to their advantage, and that Christians should be equally shrewd yet use their skill for good. There was a lot of shrewdness, cunning and conniving in "Saints and Sinners" but 99% of it was done for bad. We've all sinned and come short, but when we know better, we should do better.

Is this how they portray the CHURCH?? lies, deceit, lust and crime!!?? I saw 5 mins of this crap... acting is phony, boring, ghetto, and predictable
So I have a question is the character Rex fisher a freemason or is Clifton Powell a freemasonry i noticed his gold ring had the g square and compass
I promise this is the greatest show ever!! It's crime, suspense, action, charm & good faith all in one!! Will leave you with a cliffhanger, on the edge of your seat EVERYTIME!

I am enjoying the idea of the series. Now I'll be humble to admit it could be my Caucasian ignorance. Some of the writing, acting and story telling is flawless. Though much of it feels like B rate quality. I keep asking, how realistic is this to real life in such life experiences? I feel like it could be insulting to the African American community. What I enjoy is how smart the creators are to tie in so many hooks and stories into one flued motion. I just wish I could get lost in the show, rather then knowing it's actors pertaying characters with semi quality. I can't say if it's the acting, writing or directing that's steering the ship wrong. Or is it just my own ignorance.
Saints and Sinners is a captivating drama set in the vibrant and iconic quarters of New Orleans. The show revolves around the Greater Hope Baptist Church and the complex community surrounding it, exploring themes of love, loyalty, greed, and deeply ingrained secrets.
Lady Ella Johnson, the First Lady of Greater Hope Baptist Church and the newly elected mayor, is a multifaceted character who stands out for her fierce protectiveness of her family and friends. However, as the show progresses, it becomes clear that Lady Ella's actions, though seemingly protective, could paradoxically lead to harm for her family.
The setting of New Orleans is an integral part of the show's mood and atmosphere. The city's unique blend of old-world charm and gritty reality is captured perfectly, creating a vivid and immersive viewing experience. The rundown quality and nostalgia that is present in some parts of the city add a layer of complexity and depth to the storytelling.
As a fan of shows set in New Orleans, I can say that Saints and Sinners is one of the best. Its ability to weave together a complex plot, well-drawn characters, and a richly detailed setting make it a standout show that will keep viewers hooked. Whether you're a drama lover or a fan of shows set in New Orleans, this is a show that is not to be missed. I highly recommend it and give it a well-deserved five stars out of 5.

Bad acting, ridiculous storylines, bad wigs, almost a soap opera camera feel, unrealistic plot lines. I hoped this would be similar to Greenleaf but its attempt at a small southern town centralizing around a powerful church community falls short in the first few episodes. Murder, adultery, thug life mixed with bougie life equals a group of characters that would never be able to exist in the real world. The writers seem to have just thrown everything imaginable at their stories and pushed this series over the edge. Horrible. Do not recommend anyone waste time tuning in to this series unless you have items you can throw at the tv without breaking anything because aside from screaming at the characters for being stupid and over the top, the plot twists are completely impossible to follow or believe could happen irl.
