The film was made on a budget of just £5.50. This was entirely devoted to the modest special make-up effects, with the fake teeth costing 50p, the fake blood costing £3, and black-out tooth wax costing £2. However, the tooth wax wound up not being used, as it stuck to pretty much everything but the teeth it was supposed to black-out.
