- Alternate versionsPrior to an official viewing by the UK's rating board, the BBFC, the filmmakers submitted a rough cut of the film to them. They informed the company that the film would likely receive an '18' certificate for two moments of sadistic violence, showing a man being stabbed in the groin and another's head forced into a deep fat fryer. The film was formally classified '15' after reductions were made to these scenes.

A British-American action thriller; A story about two terrorists who kidnap the niece of an ex-soldier who employs all of his skills to rescue her and help foil their plan for mass destruction. This is a fun, noisy, brash, muscular action flick that resembles the film Die Hard. Bautista is more than comfortable in the role of a big uncle and looks easily capable of taking on the terrorists physically, which is why tension doesn't run particularly high. The fight scenes look over-choreographed, but the sentimental moments work nicely. It has a predictable storyline with clichéd dialogue, but it is a handsome production; the villains' audacious plot and their unrelenting menace make the clock run down pleasingly.
