Reviving its old policy, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (Mns) led by Raj Thackeray has warned Bollywood producers against ‘laying the red carpet’ for Pakistani singer Atif Aslam on his purported “comeback” plans to croon for a Hindi film.

Mns Cinema Wing President Ameya Khopkar said that those who are gearing up to bring Aslam here based on a court verdict “need to be shown their place”.

“Pakistani artistes will not be tolerated here. Never. It is unfortunate that we need to repeat ourselves, yet let me make it clear once again,” Khopkar, who had earlier objected to the release of a Pakistan film titled ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in December 2022, said here on Monday.

Insecurity drives Tiger Shroff to constantly seek approval and appreciation, says the actor who has clocked five years in the film industry.

Many in the acting field say the profession comes with a set of insecurities.

The makers initially wanted to have paid previews only in the evening but then decided to capitalise on the day and start only in select screens.

The film raked in 7.1cr on the bonus semi -holiday and is set to march into the release weekend with this added number.

Remo's team has now taken the film back to post-production where the offending emblems are being digitally removed. Australian actor, power lifting champion, strongman and former pro wrestler and Wwa World Heavyweight champion, Nathan Jones, will be making his grand, Bollywood debut in Remo D’Souza’s superhero movie, A Flying Jatt. Jones plays the role of a super villain and arch nemesis of heartthrob Tiger Shroff’s superhero character, ‘Flying Jatt’. Looking menacing in the film with his all black look and full body of tattoos, the good friend of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jones was last seen on the big screen in Mad Max: Fury Road as ‘Rictus Erectus’, alongside Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

Speaking about his Bollywood experience, Jones says, “I was in Thailand and got a call from the team. When I heard the role and the script, I thought it was perfect for me and great for my career. It’s really utilizing what I have and I think the kids are going to love it.

Now that’s some camaraderie which is building in fast within Bollywood fraternity. As is an emerging trend, promoting a peer’s movie is clearly in vogue. The Cbfc has received a long list of objections from Sikh and Jatt organizations to the way Tiger Shroff has been presented in A Flying Jatt, the super-hero film that sees Tiger flying in a turban. According to sources from the Central Board Of Film Certification, there have been at least 35-40 objections from various religious and cultural organizations to the way Tiger, playing a Jatt super-hero was presented in the film. Says a source from the Cbfc, "Ever since the first trailer came out there have been objections from the Jatt and Sikh communities about the clothes, accessories and conduct. We've to take all of the complaints into consideration while certifying the film." Apparently certain scenes including the ones showing Tiger flying in a turban would have to be asked to be deleted by the censor board.
