I like the show, but what puzzled me was why Axel first was een Golden Retriever and then suddenly changed into a German Sheperd... ?

Diane Ladd's 'Irish' accent is absolutely dreadful! Why do shows insist on faking accents - her character can have Irish ancestory without the begorras!! Please stop!!
I like the show. It had a lot of predictable moments but I love the setting, the family support the characters show to each other and all around warmth and sweet sentiment. Just what I need after a long day and when I want to curl up and watch a show that is enjoyable and light. I love Treat Williams he is such a joy to watch and the sisters have good chemistry. The lead actress does a good job keeping the show going and I enjoyed her work on Once Upon A Time. As for some drawbacks,it has a bit too much gloss to it and typical scenarios you would find on hallmark but I think the kinks could be worked out and hopefully the writers will go a little deeper with the drama and characters. i look forward to more episodes.

Loved its vibes, that family and relationships story without the unrealistic complications and events. It's just real if you know what I mean :)
I've loved EVERY character, and I've never did that with any other show lol.
This show is like a "break" from all that popular, stressful and toxic shows. And in my opinion, you SHOULD take this "break" ASAP ;)
Really good, light-hearted, a little bit dreamy, just what I need to get away from real world 😻 characters are nice. Easy to watch. Happy to get rid of Trace in the 5th season.

The lead couple is not what I enjoyed really, infact Abby is one of the most irritating lead characters with the insecurities of a 16 year old. Trace is meh 😏 his looks though 🤤
Instead I liked the supporting cast better especially Bree, Connor and Jess and their special ones. English isn't my first language so I don't know how Irish accent works so can't say anything about Grandma Nell. Mick and his story is boringggg. Also Megan back after like a decade or two with absurd expectations about her kids welcoming her with open arms and when they don't she has this weird watery look in her eye makes me a little mad.
But overall if you want a break from intense TV shows with some great scenery and greenery, this is the break you've been looking for!

I love this show so much. My mum and I watch this and get very excited for Monday's when it's released on Netflix.
We are really hoping there is a season 4!!!
I don't understand. Why doesn't the parents say sorry to the kids for having hurt them with the divorce. The kids are all messed up and hurting and yet no one says sorry for their actions. 😮

This is a really great TV show. It not only contains love and also the bond between the family. We can see how Abby faces her new situation and her relationship between her Trace, her daughters, her father, and her whole family. Whenever they face a new problem, it never is easy. But eventually, they come to a happy ending with everyone using love and care to solve the problems. It's somehow touching.
Really like the relationship between Trace and Abby. They were awkward at first, but they happen to forgive each other and finally get to admit that they still belong to each other no matter what had happened to them.

Hallmark seems to have finally learned something about show writing with its fourth original series. The pilot showed promise as the pacing was good, writing was engaging, characters were well formed and there was conflict! These are all huge improvements and if it remains this way, it will finally break Hallmark out of its recent original series slump. (Cedar Cove was canceled, the season finale of Good Witch was abysmal.) The pilot shows all the signs of a well done show. I only hope they continue down this path and have learned from their past mistakes and can sustain a show on real drama rather than the convoluted romantic slop they always lazily fall back on.

Really enjoyed this show. Like the plot and the actors. Love the relationships that they have with each. A really good show to watch minus all the violence. Love the family feel and how they stick together. The scenery is outstanding and the characters are well developed. The only thing missing is diversity of any kind. Come on people, no diversity with friends, people walking in the street or even working in any of the businesses. None of any kind! That's not realistic. That needs fixing!

Chesapeake Shores is the best show I have watched in the genre of Drama, Family and Romance (Added By me). I mean this show is so perfect and so beautiful, it gives you a sort of Vibe which can't be expressed in words but it can only be felt through heart as well as mind.
This show is so normal than other shows that while watching this I had a constant smile on my face. Even though the show, shows different aspects of day to day life struggles but at the end everything gets back to normal and that is one of the best part of the show that even though it has some saddening moments it still manages to bring back the Vibe which can only be felt. That's a kind of show this is.
I have enjoyed all the episodes of Chesapeake Shores I have watched since the first & look forward to each new one as it appears each week. I find the story line very interesting & a delightful family story. There is just enough risqué romance to the story yet kept refreshingly wholesome & family clean, which is so nice to find as entertainment in this day & age. All very enjoyable, not to mention how talented each cast member is & how believable & well suited they are to the character they play.
It is so nice to have a clean romantic family episode with just enough punch to make you want to turn it on & look forward to it every week.
There is far too many sappy comedies, violent cop shows, unbelievable science fiction episodes & really boring reality shows, none of which are entertaining. Television is now saturated with so many of the same old, same old shows that other than the news cast there is no point in owning a TV. I sure hope that Chesapeake Shores is here to stay.

This is a bit schmaltzy. It is low stress in the story lines, good for people who do not enjoy tension in their shows. I was not a big fan of the Trace story line, so since that ended I like it better. That was a bit too tortured.
You never feel terribly invested in the plots. It is like eating bons bons. Very pretty, sweet, and you would not want to eat too many of them.
I enjoy the beautiful location shoots, and the sets are like model homes. Indoor and out. Also kudos to the stylists on this show. They do great hair and make up and clothes. I always appreciate it when they give plots to older people too.
I have enjoyed it. I am sure Hallmark has a similar show in the works when this one ends with Season 6.

I am so grateful for the existence of Chesapeake Shores especially considering today's crazy shows...
It's decent, lovely, genuine, everyone has good intentions and they don't take unnecessary things too seriously, everything is out in the open no silly things.
It's comforting, normal and I think it sets a really good image of respect, love, caring, helping, being together and all.
Even though there are struggles they take it lightly and they show you everything comes and goes and nothing has to be that hard.
I love it.

Why name it Chesapeake Shores if you are going to film it in Canada? You do not invite the family over for crabs and serve Alaskan crab legs; you serve steamed blue crabs. Nobody would be caught dead wearing a Yankees' shirt; it's Orioles and Ravens teams here. Such a daggone good show but the entire premise of it being on the Chesapeake is unrealistic. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - C'mon, you can do it!
This is exactly what I needed. It makes you smile. It makes you feel. It makes you fall in love with the characters. Is it a bit clichè? Yes. But sometimes you are tired of killings and brutality and just plainly need love

Didn't know what I was looking for on Netflix when I stumbled upon this one.
When I started I described it to people that it's like a hallmark movie but just it's a series, silly me didn't read the cover that it was actually hallmark! :D
I almost didn't make it through the first episode but as I had nothing else to watch I stuck with it and boy am I glad I did!!!
This show is amazing!! It's so touching and heartwarming and just everything wonderful! Every single character is beautifully written and Bree, Jess, David and Trace are my favourites.
Jess and David... Oh what do I say about these two!! They are just the cutest couple ever in all of TV Drama! Ever! Take my word for it, I have watched almost every drama ever! :D
Bree is fantastic! Just Fantastic!!
Trace is awesome, perfect romantic! He deserves better. I feel bad for him through half the series, I just hope he gets his happy ending that he really really deserves!
And the location... Oh My! Wow wow wow! It is my dream to live in a place like this, it's heaven on earth, I would love nothing more than to live there!
This show has got everything, it was a while since I got to watch anything lovely like this one. But thank god for netflix and hallmark! :)
And now am back to square one, nothing feels good enough now that I have watched this.

Much has been written about the distracting elements about this series:
Cheesey writing; overly dramatic characters; unrealistic locations, etc.
However, the actress who plays Jess (the high-strung youngest daughter), bears an uncanny resemblance to a young Sissy Spacek (late 1970s), in looks only because Sissy Spacek can act rings around Laci J Mailey. It would be great to see Jess develop telekinetic powers, a la "Carrie" (1976), lol!
It's always great to see Treat Williams. The only reason I continue to watch this show.

The 10/10 is ONLY for the current season, starting with episode 3 and with the new cast additions. Prior seasons are just bland.
I started watching this show from the beginning but it became boring and honestly Jesse Metcalf was kinda weird and I didn't enjoy his character and the relationship with Abby. It became unenjoyable to watch and I didn't watch the entire last season with him in it. I heard him in an interview and his real life vibe just seemed, ugh I dunno unlikeable & he's not that good of an actor for me to forget when I'm watching the show and he's playing Trace. So I lost interest and stopped watching the show.
Recently I came across the new Chesapeake shores promo ad and noticed Robert Buckley on the cover so then when I googled it and realized Jesse Metcalf left the show and they replaced him with Robert Buckley, I gave it a go again.
Wow, now I am a fan of Robert Buckley, but I did NOT expect him to completely revive this show into something it's never been.....hilarious, lighthearted and interesting. He plays the Evan character brilliantly and changes the entire dynamic and tone of the show. I have never laughed while watching this show, it's never been funny, but man, Evan is so random and the hard laughs come out of nowhere. I just love it. Also, nice to see the rest of the characters lighten up and not be so intense with his character's addition. I think this show has gotten better on a level that is almost unheard of in a longtime running show and after a main character is replaced.
Hats off. I really. Really love the "new" show. Robert Buckley is a gem & Abby is more likable with their banter for some reason. Greyson Holt's character is basically a sweet version of Trace so I hope he is not in the picture much longer, Abby is real boring with him.
If I had to complain it'd be that there were only 10 episodes and since the show didn't really get good until episode 3, it seemed all the good stuff was too short of a season.
