This is pretty funny in places and the acting is actually decent. Everything else on Blackpills is awful and makes me cringe. Seriously Skinford, You Got Trumped, Playground, A Girl is a Gun are good... the James Franco one is OK... every other show on that app and there's like 100 of them all stink so bad... what are you doing Blackpills?
This movie was actually quite interesting to watch. Well, the most part of it.
It has style and some unique originality to it. Its gory, dark, messy, yet light and quick.
The plot is not bad, even though it falls flat in the end, it is exciting in the beginning and initially kept me guessing, which in turn kept me watching.
I also feel like characters weren't savored well enough, there were actually multiple interesting ones, so exploring them could've made the movie much better.
I stumbled upon this one randomly, as I usually do, I didn't read the annotation or watch the trailer, so I went in without knowing what awaits and it was worth it this time.
If only it had a better ending to it, it could've been a real gem. Setup is quite cool. Unfortunately, the ending is weak and superficial.
I still enjoyed it. It surely deserves a higher score than it has now.

I just watched this film on STAN and I have so many questions.
What is with all the terrible accents? Did half the cast have to be young women in their underwear? Was the woman with the camera around her neck brain damaged? Where any of these characters meant to be likeable? It's one of those films that is so bad you can't even laugh. My eyes hurt. My ears hurt.
Save your time and give this one a miss.

Charlotte best is fantastic and very photogenic. Shot well, great locations and production design. its trying too hard to be a cross between horror and art. story is weak, not that interesting at all. was so confusing and boring. Part 2 really? Dont waste your time.

Anyway you cut it, this movie is way too disjointed and poorly directed to be good. I am a big fan of aussie horror movies but this one doesn't work. By any stretch of the imagination.
The main characters don't really mesh, or visually fit. About two thirds into the film it becomes a freeforall of unfollowable plot.
The acting is dismal and as I intimated, the writing is poor at best.
To be honest, i was marginally, to very, bored throughout the entire movie. We are given no reason to like the characters -- or even understand why we should.
The denoument is ludicrous and idiotic. What a disappointment.

Wow, this film was a 'rollercoaster' and by that I mean that my opinion of whether I actually liked or disliked it kind of changed every other scene. It starts out with our protagonist 'Skinny' about to be executed in the middle of, er, the 'English outback' (seriously, I may be from the UK, but I didn't recognise a single location and characters' accent seemed to fluctuate!). Two things then happen which I will simply class as 'supernatural.'
Now, I don't mind a good 'mystery' film - whether all points are wrapped up by the end of the story, or enough answers have been given which give the audience a decent chance of unraveling everything after the credits have rolled. However, Skinny has the chance to ask the other main character in the film what exactly is going on - and yet he never really does. I know that, in terms of writing, no writer would create a mystery, only to solve it two minutes later. But the fact that Skinny never asks (or at least doesn't really find out until the final act in line with the audience) kind of ruins the film in terms of story.
But it was an engaging mystery and it kept me hooked. However, what transpired was a movie which had nice ideas and yet either the writing let it down, the acting ability of some of the cast, or lack of budget. Sometimes a new character comes into the story and we're instantly teleported to a flashback which explains the new person's relevance. This is kind of jarring and puts the film's story in reverse. A couple of the actors either can't act or overact and a couple even behave like straight out cartoon characters. When it comes to budget, there are some computer effects which you'll have to be forgiving on, but a better example is a car chase through - what is by all accounts - a completely deserted city. Therefore the lack of any other vehicle on the road (a fact I dispute, living in the UK, even in the dead of night!) really does hamper any terms of stake as there's not much to crash in to.
So, I stuck with it and most of the questions were suitably answered, even if you may have to really suspend your disbelief to the max in order to let the plot slide. I hear there's a sequel and I'd actually be up for watching it if I can track it down - mainly just out of curiosity - because I think there are genuinely good intentions and ideas here and I'd like to see the film-makers behind it sharpen their skills and make something a little more focused.

I had never heard of this film or it's sequel until it popped up on STAN. I wish Australia would make more films like this. Action, comic book like, colourful characters. The acting was consistent and the cinematography was amazing.

It's just a touch - or rather the touch! But no pun intended and let's not get ahead of ourselves! The movie starts off quite interestingly - it may feel like an ending, but then again that also can be seen as a beginning. Especially because of what is uncovered - or rather dug up (who to be more accurate).
But all that means nothing to you, if you have not seen the movie and I am only talking about the first couple of minutes. And you can tell right from the beginning that the movie was well thought of and well made to (cinematography that is). The acting is great too and the make up works quite like a charme to say the least.
The idea is quite neat too - and sounds quite enticing, right? Who wouldn't want to be in our main characters shoes ... well at least superficially speaking right? If you like Science Fiction and do not mind a bit of violence and nudity on the side ... well this will float your boat for sure ... and there is a sequel too? Sign me on ... I'll be in touch!
