The TV show started out decent. Nexo Powers were cool, monster designs were okay, and the book of monsters was pretty good. Jestro's corruption was justifiable too. However in the second half of the first season and beyond, things went from decent to horrible, the nexo powers were the same all the time and the cities look exactly the same. There has never been any good character development and Lance is too annoying and too over emphasized. We never actually see the lava monsters destroy things, only things that are already destroyed, and the only thing they do is knock each other around and bump into each other with their vehicles.

Too many episodes feel like filler content, and accomplish nothing but a waste of 22 minutes. Character development is basically non existent, and I don't want to compare the show to Ninjago too much, but in comparison this show is so lazy. It feels like every drop of budget went to Ninjago and this show got the leftover funds. Is a cool concept but wasn't given enough effort to be fleshed out. The fight scenes are just depressing. I almost refer bad for the monsters since most of the time they're just hopping up and down, doing literally nothing and then they're shot at. All the fights basically end up the same, with the shield power ups saving the day and the exact same animation of the knights shielding (?) up. Lance is just annoying, Clay is too boring, Axl is plain stupid, Aaron is okay, but the way he talks makes me cringe, and Macy's only trait is that she's a girl and everyone around her is sexist. If any of the characters were truly interesting (Maybe give Jestro a sadder background or give Clay emotions) then it would be cool. Nice concept but filler episodes took up the time that could've been used for character development.

I realized just three to four episodes in that this was indeed a massive waste of money, animation, and marketing effort. I forced myself to watch two seasons and I can tell you you can go your entire life without seeing this lazy excuse for an epic fantasy. It's extremely effortless, the story is basic, the characterizations despite having good designs are flat and one dimensional, and very annoying and cringy from time to time. There's no consistent plot, the character interactions and filler episodes resemble Sesame Street or Dora the Explorer in simplicity, and really insult the audience. You're better off watching Ninjago or Chima, both of them are memorable. The flaws with this show are comparable to that of the Ninjago Movie including awful writing, bad characterizations, childish tone, lame jokes. It's a kid's show yes but good kids shows are serious in their own right and educate, and tell compelling stories but restrict the violence and maturity slightly as to appeal to their audience. When written well they're still fun to watch by most if not all ages. Ninjago, Amphibia, Carmen Sandiego, and She-Ra to name a few are all well done, not this.
Pros- Let's get this out of the way. The visuals aren't bad, the monster and character designs are good, there are many recycled ones for the robots but it can be overlooked. The visuals are good, and they put very miniscule effort into story but it's still there, it has a premise.
Cons- The lazy story and flat characters are the biggest problem. It focuses on the kingdom of Knightington in which the Nexo Knights native to it defend their land, and their threat is Jestro, a jester who's been humiliated and mocked for his incompetence. It's a one dimensional origin but it works slightly, then he gets corrupted by the dark sorcerer Monstrox. The first two episodes had a promising start, as it went on it became a silly slapstick adventure arc with slow and dragged out subplots and childish antics that can't be taken seriously. Legends of Chima does similar things to this and it's slightly flawed but in the end the the plot is progressed and the characters are put in real danger and conflict, not just goofing around. It's quite shocking that this show went on for four seasons. The first two and last two episodes of Season 1 were worth watching, you can skip the majority of it and you won't miss a thing but cheesy anime power call outs and meaningless storylines. The New Ninja in Ninjago are more properly characterized than the Nexo Knights and that's saying something. I gave this a 3/10 because there's a tiny bit of effort put into visuals and premise, there's nothing else good about the show that you'd want to sit down and see even one season of it for. All it is is bland, dragged out, and sleep inducing. The show itself is unnecessary, it should have been cancelled after Season 2. With Ninjago still going strong this show is obsolete and insignificant, and I believe there's a serious lack of passion on the part of the producers/writers but rather a desire for money behind this, as much that can be earned with little effort put into the show.

Oh my gosh, this show is so awesome! Is it wrong to watch the show for the villains? Because that's one of my favorite parts of it all. Constructed really well, has a great story and it's so funny! It's like a medieval version of the show Lego Ninjago; Masters of Spinjitzu. People keep acting like it's horrible but they probably haven't even gave it a shot yet. I would definitely recommend this if you like Legos or just I recommend it anyway.

Characters/Animation 10/10
Voice Acting 10/10
Everything about this series is perfect, and this isn't a knockoff of Ninjago! Don't listen to the haters both series are good and totally different :) And the thing I love most about this series is how they explained his childhood and who his mother was it really added alot to his character season 4 is the best season because it has a lot of character development and world-buliding and action, it's disappointing that this series got cancelled it's so good!!

One of the series to see ABSOLUTELY an original lego animation in the series what I liked was to be able to interact with an official application of the series is that we had QR codes to scan in each episode called (Nexo-Power) it is to have powers of Merlock 2.0. To beat Monster in the game and also even with the official toys there were QR codes that were different (in all there were more than 300 different QR to scan with the application by watching the series and buying the lego toys) which was great we expect a season 5 but unfortunately the series is finished for lack of budget and audience and the application also was deleted

It got cancelled too soon... I think its really good. Jestro my sweet poor beloved cute boy... Season three and four are my favorites! Pretty good plot twist near the end! Really shocked me... You wont be disappointed. I like to see all the characters get along and grow as people together, its really immersive. The world.. and its lore, story is nice. Really nice. In season five which was cancelled Lance (real name Lancelot richmond.) was meant to get more character devlopment.. REALLY good voiceacting! My favoritre.. who did jestro. Joutin beaiver and MORE voices, Vincent tong. He is very good at voice acting. Glad they didnt cast keith silverstien. Ugh.
