...like to declare that the latest Hollywood blockbuster "popcorn movie" with actual professional actors is the worst movie they ever saw.
They really need a point of comparison for their criticism.
The wooden acting, incoherent plot, and cheesy special effects in Flashout don't even reach the B-Movie bar.
After the 1st 15 minutes I just hunkered down thinking "how much worse can this get?" This challenge was one they were able to meet and exceed.
If you like watching train wrecks or just need to calibrate your criticism scale, you need to watch this film.

I had to search what "campy" means, since six "different" one time reviewers described it as such. Worst fake reviewing ever.
Cute girls, terrible "movie" but honestly i lol'ed a couple of times on how bad it was so i'm giving them an extra star for that.

Flashout is a cute indie production that deftly mixes faux quantum physics, multiverse theory and a multi-orgasmic romp into a package that manages to deliver a number of laughs without seeming excessively contrived or tedious.
This is not an A-lister, big budget film, and those who participated in its creation clearly had that firmly in mind as they crafted this silly sci-fi adventure. This film does not try to be anything other than what it is, and by keeping in its lane, it managed to hold my attention and provide a reasonable amount of (mindless) entertainment.
At times, the dialogue and plot were nonsensical, both intentionally and unintentionally, and likewise, at times the acting was thin on skill - but the film held itself together well enough to be watchable until the end. There were moments of high-camp greatness where the film seemed to be a distant offspring of silly classics like 'Dude where's my car" and "Barbarella", but alas this was not sustained consistently - if Flashout had managed that feat, I would have scored it a solid 6.
Not one to put high on your "must watch" list, but leave it somewhere on there for a grey, rainy day.

If you don't have a script, go buy one. This is a complete waste of time. Low budget crap of all craps. Flashout is a stupid movie 🎦.

I had to turn it off in the middle.
It was poorly made and inappropriate.
After it dropped the F-bomb and J**** I couldn't watch anymore. I should have stopped watching after it appeared they were having an orgasm while playing video games.
Don't watch!

There are so many movies this days that are miscalculated. Wrong rated.
This is not a fun B-Movie but a crappy C.
Dont waste time of your life on this. Rather watch painting dry.
I too could only bare watching it for 5 minutes. Script? What script, there isn't any. Completely void of anything decent. Just goes to show you anyone with a camera on a phone can make a "movie" if you can even call it that. Word of advice-just because you can do something, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

This is just terrible and there is no way that people can even consider watching this "movie".
I just want to stick a fork in my eye after watching 30 minutes of this crap!

It's a terrible movie, but it just made me chuck and grin throughout while I did something else. It actually helped lighten a fairly heavy time, and for that I give it a six. The effects are awful, but the production is actually not too bad. Not A list stuff fore sure, but there is so much worse out there.
Odd that the lead actors are atrocious actors, but the extras are actually often decent actors.
If you went into this not knowing what you were getting into, gotta say, that's on you ;) .
This was an amusing little romp that made no sense, but somehow had the seeds of interesting ideas. Although I can't even give it that much credit since I think the writers really didn't have a clue what those ideas were. I thought the idea that some street people who preach armageddon were potentially transdimensional space worms was pretty amusing, although the film doesn't really explicitly go here or address this, I wonder about the screaming mad man. The one with long hair, not the main mad guy. I know this might verge on spoiler, but this movie is impossible to spoil since it makes no sense...lol
Anyway, just get a chuckle out of this one, some smiles, and don't expect an actual script ot movie here. It's simply a romp to maybe get some light hearted friends together to have a chuckle and head shaking session. Might even be a good drinking game in here. And whether you feel insulted by this movie might just depend on the mood going in. If you cringe at the first ten minutes, then maybe put it on a back shelf and try again another time. I find my mood definitely affects if I enjoy a movie or not.
Btw, if you watch the first ten minutes and don't realize this is going to make no sense....welllllll..... :)

When three gamers from the multiverse find themselves on Earth, pursued by an awkward repairman intent on shutting their misadventure down, amusing complications ensue. A fun, campy sci-fi adventure that's got no shortage of humor.

There is potentially a story idea here which was attempted but lost to 2nd year filmaking mistakes. The acting is acting, , the vfx are corny and last century, and the low budget techniques are pretty obvious. There is an attempt to dress the movie up with young and pretty actresses, which for the most part are young and pretty, but you would be better off walking the dog or spending quality time with family and friends than devoting any real attention to this movie.

This might not be the absolute worst movie of 2019, but it is definitely the worst movie I have seen all year.
The script and direction stand out as exceptionally bad and the few things that could have been saved in editing, were not.
Each scene felt like it was a poorly planned sketch where each cast member had to write their own lines two minutes before they went on stage and nobody had a chance to rehearse together.
I get the feeling that the director was absent during much of the shooting or he clearly had no vision for a coherent movie.
Some of the acting is quite bad, but most is decent for a B-movie. With proper direction, at least the leading casts performance, could have been considered good for a B-movie or at times even passable for an A-movie.
The quality of the camerawork varies greatly throughout the movie, but overall is not disappointingly bad at any time.
Considering one star is the lowest rating possible and worse movies exist, I will give this movie two stars.

As i just say the trailer... i decided, uhm: No.
How did anyone even think this trailer would even sell one ticket? If the trailer already is that B-full, the whole movie must be far worse even.

Terrible movie. I watched 'till the end and there was no improvement in the plot. Not a single bit of coherence. Not funny. Just terrible.
I watched this three times and i still have no idea what it is about. The acting is some of the worst i have ever seen. I don't know why IMDB insist on using six hundred characters to review this . It could be summed up in one word.... RUBBISH. I think it is supposed to be some sort of game show on a different planet in a parallel universe with a real person trying to avoid being mistaken for a fake alien computer generated image or something like that. But it doesn't work. The story could have been written by a backward four year old. The only thing this has going for it is the inclusion of the gorgeous Lauren Swickard, using the name Lauren York presumably so she doesn't associate herself with this drivel.

Doesnt remind you too those rabbit bunny (Playboy) movies? Cute girls without breath taking scenes and sucking your time miserably, painfully, utterly..
It's really really bad. I watched like 3 minutes and I regret every second I wasted watching this.
All these people in the movie and whoever responsible it should be prosecuted.
This movie is an insult to cinema, science fiction, and human intelligence.
The plot is nonsensical, the acting is atrocious, and the special effects are laughable.
The dialogue is cringeworthy, the characters are shallow, and the direction is amateurish.
This movie has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It's a flash out of garbage that should be avoided at all costs. Do yourself a favor and don't watch this movie. You will thank me later.

Earth ain't so easy for these space habitat gamers and the multiverse repairman who must send them home. Smart, fun, campy, original, out-of-this-world entertainment--well worth the ride!
An Avant-Garde Feature with references spanning the past decades of film and art making.
Whether you were a fan of TV Shows like UFO or Raumschiff Orion of the 60ies, Star Trek or Nam June Paik, Richard Lerner has mastered the transformation of it into the current spirit of dating, traveling different Multiverses and expanding the mind.
In beautifully designed, photographed and lit sets, the director guides his professional cast into a game of virtual experiences, which take a dangerous turn when reality kicks in.

Flashout is a fun and funny campy ride into the multiverse. If you like sci-fi with a sense of humor you'll enjoy it. Jonathan Goldstein is great as the Repairman. Good FX for an independent film but it also has a story so it's not just FX like some sci-fi movies. Hot chicks flashing out, what's not to like?

For a generation that has squandered it's erotic energy in front of the game console, here is a movie to return romance to the screen. Three women come to earth with a very special power. It's a power you want to feel, and touch, it's a power you actually have. (Hmmm). The movie is a little campy, a little silly, but built around a really clever premise I won't give away. Find out what's missing in your universe and watch this movie. Lighten up (no pun intended).

I didn't know what to expect going in and was pleasantly surprised by the campy humor and sfx. I could see this movie being played at midnight showings like Rocky Horror Picture Show.
This was a classic. This movie reminded me of a movie a saw when I was a child. The storyline is a fantasy. This movie was a comedy, drama, and sci-fi rolled up into one. A must watch, with a group of friends and a bottle of wine.

What happens when a trio of game-playing lookers from a space colony in an alternate universe end up on our earth? While the concept of the multiverse exactly new here (i.e. the latest Batman film), this movie delivers an original twist by having the games the girls are playing end in a psychedelic/orgasmic "flashout", which not only makes them very popular with earthmen they encounter, but threatens the very existence of the multiverse itself. Flashout can't compete with effects-heavy sci fi blockbusters (though the 'flashouts' effects here are pretty cool), but small indy films like this can make up for it with unexpected originality and campy humor.
