Jay visits the tree and finds the small comb and then drives off to the mountain in the distance. The shadow of the tree has moved through an angle of around 40-45 degrees, indicating a much longer passage of time than is shown on-screen.
Early on Detective Swan's caravan is blasted by two men with shotguns while he was asleep. He wasn't asleep for long. Josh goes to question Det Swan about what happened. There is a view of a caravan with holes in the walls, supposedly the back side of the caravan. That caravan is smaller than the view when the men were shooting it. Also, when Josh and Swan were inside the caravan talking, there are no bullet holes in any of the furniture on the back wall. With the size and amount of holes on the back of the caravan, the wall furniture would have been destroyed.
