No wonder you may say after watching how brainless they act (pun very much intended). Btw if you are watching the german dubbed version, you can easily take off one or even two points of my rating. It's barely a decent attempt on the whole "I know what you did (whatever time of last year)"-schtick.
The protagonists are more or less all despicable and you won't find yourself caring too much about them. There are others in there and the twist towards the end may sway you to like this I guess. On the other hand it's a bit far stretched. Especially because there seems to be a lack of information to put it mildly and just wild assumption. Why every other horror movie thinks it needs a zinger at the end? Well ... whatever

Basically the Dutch I know what you did last summer. Terrible. Yet not in any way worse than any other teenage slasher b-flick. That's as high as my praise will get 😛

Very poor imitation of US slasher movies. The characters in the main are dumb. So dumb I doubt they would actually be at law school or university. The actors do play being unlikeable very well. That's really the only good thing if the movie. If you are under 30 and haven't watched many movies this might be original. As for the twist at the end ? C'mon it was so obvious it was embarrassing (for the writers). It had to be one of the.......oops almost gave it away. But honestly it's so obvious. Anyhoo it's still got an awful cliche ending.

Young people at the age of puberty will surely like it more than me. But having said that, It's watchable, and I have seen them a lot worse from this genre.
Half-naked soapies running like headless chickens straight into the killer's arms. The slasher genre is usually quite successful. The dance beats are quite annoying, and unfortunately, if you don't like this music, as in my case, you will have to use the volume on the remote control a lot.
Some things seemed quite original to me, such as the fact that the victims do not die instantly, as in other films of this genre.
It's not all that innovative, but 'Sneekweek' is quite watchable with its easily digestible horror.

Nederhorror. That's the name for horrors coming from the Netherlands and I must say that they are famous for bringing horror into our rooms. Sneekweek is the new entry in the genre. But for me it was a mediocre horror. let me explain, it's full of suspense but you have to wait for the last 35 minutes before the suspense comes in.
When a prank goes wrong and someone dies years later the witnesses are dying one for one. And let it be done by someone with a mask. So it's way back to the eighties when horror was back in business due Scream (1996) and the I Know What You Did franchise (1997). This is exactly what you will get but here the horror doesn't come in from the first minute. It does almost take an hour before the real murders are happening. Sure, there are murders in the first hour but they aren't bloody or gory or by other words, the red stuff doesn't flow. The nailgun killing could have been gory as hell but having a nail in your head straight to your brains and still clever enough to go hide under a bed was for me the moment were this flick lost it's credibility.
What you do have the first hour are girls walking around in bikini's looking hot and the bunch going from on party to another and banging girls, but after a while you have seen it and I thought, when does the horror comes in. That's as I said earlier in the last 35 minutes. There you have one murder after another, still, not bloody or even gory even as a driller killer scene is added, to be honest. The director and writer(s) did know there classics because every kill you could refer to a classic old school slasher.
Word picking up if you want to see the parties going on and on and do see them killed one by one in for a nookie a original way but sadly for me when things really go wrong it was a bit too late. Netherhorror, yes, but not a classic.

Cliché, but it escapes the traditional panorama, some strange and bizarre scenes, which sound very pleasant, and naturally we cheer for the villain, since these young people are not at all innocent, the deaths are great, using some portable electric tool, some scenes give a lovely anguish ...
Using the backdrop of a traditional sailing competition event in Europe ... I loved the outcome, revenge films attract me, technical quality debatable, but so what ...

As this Dutch slasher film opens a mixed group of young students are 'auditioning' others to find a new housemate. This involves the young men hoping to join them sitting in an ice bath... one of the final two remaining suffers a heart attack; he dies. The others don't call an ambulance as they fear their futures will be ruined. Two years pass and they are finishing their studies; to celebrate they rent a house in the Frisian city of Sneek during the popular Sneekweek water sports event. One of them is soon found dead; the head of the local police quickly rules it a suicide as he doesn't want to frighten the tourists, but other officers suspect otherwise. Soon the death toll rises; somebody is targeting this particular group. Given the killer's choice of weapons they appear to have a power tool fetish!
Films in the slasher genre aren't expected to feature on lists of the greatest films; they tend to be about good looking twentysomethings dying in creatively unpleasant ways... if that is what you want this delivers. The group of students aren't too likeable so one isn't too sympathetic when they start dying. The deaths, while not overly bloody, are quite disturbing, perhaps because more than one character suffers unpleasant injuries without immediately dying. The acting is solid enough even though I suspect looks were the most important criteria at the auditions. There are nods to well-known films; most obviously 'Scream', which characters actually watch and one point; and 'Jaws' with the police chief worried about scaring the tourists mirroring the mayor's actions in the '70s classic. The identity of the masked killer isn't too obvious although there are hints. Overall I'd recommend this to fans of the slasher genre; it's not that original but it delivers unpleasant deaths in pleasant surroundings.
