Mr. Osomatsu , the ongoing TV anime spin-off that re-imagines the six brothers from Osomatsu-kun as fully grown failsons, is returning to Japanese TV for a fourth season on TV Tokyo and other stations beginning in July 2025, and now a new teaser image (above) and teaser trailer (below) have been revealed for the series. In a move to enhance their anime production, Pierrot Films has announced a strategic partnership with Asahi Production.
The agreement, signed on Oct 11, 2024, aims to establish a system for producing high-quality animation works by leveraging the strengths of both companies.
In their press release, Pierrot Films noted that despite the growth in number of TV anime that are being produced every year (approximately 300 since 2015), there was also a visible demand for higher quality productions from the audiences.
Recognizing this need, Pierrot Films and Asahi Production have agreed to collaborate to meet these expectations and maintain consistency in quality.
Under the agreement, Pierrot, known for its extensive experience in long-running anime series, will combine its production expertise with Asahi Production’s technological skills including photography and CGI.

A certain meme sprung to mind when I awoke to last week’s double-whammy of old-school anime remake news. It’s that panel from a Watchmen comic where Dr. Manhattan sits pensively in isolation on the surface of Mars and is usually made to lament how time is a flat circle, a recent example of which remarked on Ghostbusters and Dune competing at the box office in three separate instances since 1984. Anime is hardly different from other mediums when it comes to rebooting or remaking older material for newer audiences, though it's arguably been slower to dig deeper for inspirations. The rambunctious family of sextuplets are back with the series announcing tonight that a fourth season of the Mr. Osomatsu TV anime is in production. Based on the manga of the same name by Fujio Akatsuka, all the voice actors for the Osomatsu brother will be returning for their iconic roles. The official website for the Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction anime adaptation project, based on manga artist Inio Asano's work of the same name, announced today that the release date of its second part has been delayed to May 24, 2024. Following the first part that is scheduled to open in Japan on March 22, the second part was originally set to release on April 19. The reason for the postponement is explained as "to deliver a work that better meets the expectations of our customers." Advance tickets already purchased can still be used on the new release date.
