The title of the movie addresses about the Greek myth about the three Furies (also known as Erinyes). According to the Greek Mythology, the Furies are named Alecto ("endless"), Megaera ("jealous rage") and Tisiphone ("vengeful destruction"), born from god Uranus after his son Cronus castrated him to throw his genitalia into the sea, emerging from the drops of blood that fell on the earth.
