Was originally going to be shot as one feature film. But due to it's length it was cut into two films instead. The crew thought it would be a nice touch to extend it to another film so that it was a trilogy, eventually the idea was scrapped.
To keep the emotions and reactions genuine, Jess Taylor never met Sam Heydon and Agnes Lillies before the shoot or hung out during breaks at the TV interview reunion scene. This was to create a more sudden impact to Taylor's reaction when they walk in on stage.
Leila Kotori's boyfriend in real life makes a cameo as a "Justice for Ava" protester.
James Horan cameos in the film as a voiced news correspondent heard on an iPad. Kris Smith contacted him specially for this as he's a huge Metal Gear Solid fan and was playing the game throughout the course of filming. Horan plays the villain Skullface in the latest installment "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain"
It is rumoured to believe that Kris Smith, Nina Taylor and Max Rudd have got matching tattoos of a lighthouse once they completed filming entirely.
