A Kid (2016) was nominated for César Awards for Best Actor (Pierre Deladonchamps) and Best Supporting Actor (Gabriel Arcand). At the Lumières Awards, Pierre Deladonchamps was again nominated for Best Actor. Gabriel Arcand won the Prix Iris for Best Actor, which is a Canadian film award which recognizes talent and achievement in the mainly francophone feature film industry in Quebec.
A Kid (2016) (French: Le Fils de Jean) is a 2016 French-Canadian drama film written and directed by Philippe Lioret and starring Pierre Deladonchamps, Gabriel Arcand and Catherine De Léan. It is loosely based on the book Si ce livre pouvait me rapprocher de toi (If This Book Could Bring Me Closer) by Jean-Paul Dubois.
