The Minister is a spin-off of the Whovian universe, but through the story we tend to lose sight of that and the whole universe takes on a life of its' own life. In the skillful hands of the writers and director we find ourselves in a foreign land torn apart by two diametrically opposed philosophies: Magic and science. Like any great science fiction does The Minister mirrors the struggles of our own world, engaging the audience in such a way that we soon forget this is Tanto and Sezuan and begin to feel it could be a part of our own universe. In doing that the story and the characters take on a very personal feel. We've seen these people before, perhaps we've been them, and what they are facing we have also. The sci-fi elements complement so naturally the story telling that it makes your suspense of disbelief complete allowing you to enjoy a very rich atmosphere. All in all The Minister of Chance is smart story-telling made complete by the talent acting it out. Do not miss this production!
