Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles is an interesting drama. There is ramen, check. There are cute girls, check. There is a sweet story, check. It teaches you about ramen, check. So, the cinematography was good, as the ramen were presented really nicelly. The "satisfaction" scenes, however, could have been better. The performances from the girls were really good, in addition. The story was cute, as well, as the girls friendship was nice to watch. And there were some adorable moments as well. So, seven out of ten.

Koizumi-san likes... sorry, loves, her ramen. So she goes from one shop to the other trying to taste all possible types that there are of the food. A couple of classmates end going with her from one shop to the other.
"Ramen Daisuki Koizumi san" (Koizumi-san loves ramen) is a 20-minute four-episode mini-series that is unbelievable fun, specially taking into account the subject matter. This is a show about ramen, where character development, or plot, or anything, takes a back seat to ramen. If you are not interested in food or ramen, it may probably not be so much fun. But even if not, the series is absolutely genius, the more because it is surrealist and over-the-top as hell. Koizumi doesn't just love ramen, she loves every aspect from it, from the slurping sound, to cueing in front of famous ramen shops, to anything, which makes for incredible ludicrous moments in the four episodes that the series lasts. Wait for amazing moments like discovering she has been training to eat the spiciest ramen in a shop or the bigger than life moment of how waiting to eat ramen shapes one's personality.
All three actresses do an amazing job with the thin material they have, as they make it as fun to be with them as possible, even if, of course, this is not a series which will get them any awards.
On top of all these ridiculous situations, the show has some free time to find some heart in the developing relationships of the three girls.
Go watch it to get hungry, stay for the surrealist fun.
