Ill admit right now..this is my first Palistani film. no seriously, this is the first one I ever tried out. and Ill admit...it was quite a funny movie. All throughout the movie, the characters were all packing laugh after laugh, and the entire theater was bursting out when it was presented. however, ill be frank..this is the only positive aspect of this film.
The characters are bland cardboard cutouts who we've seen hundreds of times before, like the partier who strikes out with girls,(reminding me of Phil from The Hangover) the workaholic with the terrible girlfriend (reminding me of Stu from the hangover), with the only exception being Moti, played by Yasir Hussain. The only time I've seen a stutter in film was a Kings Speech, except that wasn't used for comedic effect(for the most part). Also, whoever that kid is..someone teach him how to act. seriously, Jake Lloyd would blush, just let keanu reeves teach him, he'd be worthy of it.
the songs were pretty great, but thats all I can really say. (tutti fruity is a guilty pleasure...)however, ill admit If u just play the songs and remove the movie entirely, this would be a much better picture. in fact, I'm gonna download the soundtrack when its released. if it ever does, that is.
However, heres the aspect of the film that bothers me...the character of the girlfriend(yeah, i don't remember any other characters names, sue me..). They keep building her up to be unfaithful, but the only thing she did was not tell him her password. so what if she appreciates a little privacy? they didn't even foreshadow anything. at least show her as somewhat unfaithful ad manipulative so we could actually hate her.

Karachi Se Lahore is the next Lollywood movie released after the blockbuster "bol". Unfortunantely this movie does not live up to the mark and is just a time pass movie.
Plot: Zaheem is a worker at a bank. He has two friends Moti and Sam who are always into partying and want Zaheem to get into this lifestyle but he is always under pressure from his spoiled girlfriend Ayeasha who always nags him for his average lifestyle as she wants a higher reputation man. One day Ayeasha leaves Zaheem for a another man, when Zaheem finds out he is devastated and decides to stop the wedding. Since the air travel is not available, Zaheem persuades his neighbor Maryam and her brother Zeezo to lend him their jeep for to get to Lahore. All five friends go on a road trip from Karachi to Lahore.
Music: The music was overall good. The song "tutti fruity" gets stuck in your head, especially the tune. "Aaja re Aaja" is another catchy song. The rest of the songs were good too.
Flaws: The story was okay, also there was no real comedy in this movie. Moti's punch lines were the only thing that kept this movie going.
Acting: One thing I really liked about this movie was the acting. Every single per son did a really good job. Shehzad Sheikh makes a confident débutant. He has something of his father in him. he was perfect as Zaheem. THere may be some places where he has overacted but he still was good. Ayeasha Omar is flawless. The stages her character had to go through, from tough to sweet to angry to fun. She portrayed all these different phases without a single flaw in her acting. But the star of the movie was Yasir Hussain, he was absolutely outstanding. The movie was completely carried on his shoulders. It was because of this that this movie was watchable. Ahmed Ali was good, even though he overacted at some places he was still good to watch on screen.. Aashir Wajahat was very good he was better than Ahmed Ali and Shehzad Sheikh. His expressions, tone, language also contributed to the film. Eshita Syed is most effective. Javed Sheikh is good in his small role.
Overall this is a time pass movie which is only enjoyable at some points because of the outstanding performance of Yasir Hussain

I went to watch the movie after hearing that its a good comedy although the story is not that great but after hearing the jokes, you wont care about the story. I reluctantly took the risk and boy it was a terrible choice. The movie was wrapped in terrible promotion of the sponsors. Some scenes are terribly fit in context and the item number of Ayesha Omer was forced into the situation. The movie is a 36 hour journey of 5 people, 3 of them friends and Shahzad's neighbor Ayesha and her brother, who take the journey to patch up Zaheem's (Shahzad) girlfriend who is marrying a cousin in Lahore. There are many major loopholes and the most glaring one is the road on which they travel, its the Mehran Coastal highway instead of the N5. At least they should have gotten that right although i understand the point of capturing natural beauty. The only talking point of the movie was Moti and his jokes which somehow saved the movie. Some of the jokes were actually good and did crack one up. Other than that, everyone's acting was below par. I hope the director/producer learn that the limit should not be crossed while appeasing your sponsors. Verdict: If you really don't care about the story and have enough money that you don't care for losing 500 to hear a few jokes, go for it otherwise you know what i mean.
I was too excited to watch this movie and of course it was worth a watch. The storyline was not too strong but the acting overall was good (except in some parts). It is great to see Pakistan Film studio progressing day and night but a indeed a great improvement is needed. The movie was quite boring at start but as the time passes interest develops and the jokes were quite humorous and the best thing about the movie was it's constant flow not causing the watcher feel drowsiness or tiredness. Shortly, A good movie about friendship , love and indeed a refreshing story. The movie could be better in terms of acting and storyline. So, Expecting more like this type of (comedy) movies from the Pakistani Media.

This is the second movie made in Pakistan that I watched. It's amazing. It contain a lot of funny scene, my favorite song "Aaja re Aaja" and amazing screen-shots that I could not imagine were from Pakistan. I voted 10/10. This is family Picture and I think everyone should watch it. This is amazing for me so that is why i'm recommending this movie. Pakistan is going to produced its name in film industry it is one of its master pieces. So everyone is in quest for a terrific comedy that make you cry all over the hall, room or even a theater then go for it. Ayesha Omer, Javed sheikh are the most amazing actress and actor in Pakistan. I can't tell anyone how I was feeling after watching this movie. I think one more time I've to go for it and must watch it.

"Karachi Se Lahore", a laughter roller coaster.
Movie grips you from start, and takes you into extreme level of comedy. The actors in movie did full justice with their characters, Ayesha Omar (Mariam), Javed Shiekh (Tiwana), Shehzad Shiekh (Zaheem), Ashir Wajahat (Zeezo). But the corner stone / lime light of the movie was "Moti" (Yasir Hussain), he takes movie to next level, he is also co-writer. And at last "Wajahat Rauf" (The Debut Director) do full justice with his movie by his skills.
I'll rate main ingredients of movie as cast (9), acting (9), timing of punch lines (10), songs (8), cinematography (8), editing (9), direction (9), script (10). So each department try to put his 100% and succeeded as well. So overall I give 9/10.
Go Watch it for "Moti" and for "Pakistan". Its worth for your money.

What a summer it has been for the Pakistani film industry, first "Wrong No." and now this. Well look at bright side, it can only get better from here (I guess).
"Karachi say Lahore" fails to offer anything more than poorly placed product(s), a band of actors with no chemistry and yet another needless and inappropriate item song (I mean I know it's Ayesha Omar but "Tooti fruity hoon main, beauty cutie hoon main", it's like they're not even trying anymore).
It was evident from the trailer that this was a very typical script but whats more annoying is the execution. This movie failed on every possible level and is definitely the worst Pakistani movie to come out in these recently past years.
The actors were so bad (especially Shehzad, Ayesha and Ishita), it felt like someone had picked them up from a cheap infomercial shoot and dragged them to this movie and finally the ugly direction was just the icing on the cake.
Other than one good song and one good joke (literally just one), the movie was a complete waste of time and is nothing less than an insult to the Pakistani film industry.

I started watching it in good faith, that i can be watched at least once. After watching Bol that was co-directed with bollywood, the pakistani movie industry might have learned something. But i proved myself very wrong.
Poor dialogue delivery and poor acting by the lead actors and actresses. The extras used in the movie are hilarious. Quality is a myth here and for the ones who like this movie, i must say - bad taste :p.
if you are a movie fan and have a good understand about movies. you are not going to like this one. lame jokes, and a lot of promotion of the movie sponsors. loll.

Being Pakistani, I should have to prefer Pakistani Movies at first... But after watching the movie Karachi Se Lahore, the frequent below-the-belt humor made it the best movie only for a specific class and not the audience with families liking the genuine comedy and humor which should have been the symbol of a typical Pakistani movie. Other way round, this movie was a good effort on a lighter note and had there been no such one-liner jokes, I would have given it 8 out of 10... as all of clean punches were superb, situational comedy along with soft romance was at its best... role of Javed Sheikh with Khushi was very amusing, although it needed some more focus (like Aysha Omer or that Travelling Group could have known about the existence of Khushi)... However, if we compare it with Maalamal Weekly, Hera Pheri, Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar, Dhol, Hangama (Indian Movies), all have clean comedies. And yet I am not asking the Pakistani Directors to Copy- Paste an Indian Movie but producing a Clean-Comedy Movie... Rest Songs were great, Picturisation was great, Direction was great and acting was also great including Rashid Hussain (except his few sentences)....

I consider myself to be an all-round modest guy. I certainly don't pretend to be something i'm not. However, seeing this 137 min flick, i am fairly certain i would've done a better job at directing while still making enough time for afternoon chai back at home. The film takes us on a rather loop-holed journey into the life of a young salary-man and his posse of two- dimensional friends who, despite our central character's consistent verbal insults and slurs, manage to brush everything off for a 36 hour road trip to crash his 'evil' ex's wedding. I use apostrophes because the only thing resembling something bad she did was prolong their inevitable breakup. Joining in is a girl-next-door who goes through the biggest and fastest personality u-turn (like..literally 15 hours) in the film..and not even in a good way. From a fiercely independent young women to a urban-hipster wannabee ready to put on her ghaghra and dance the night away. I feel a bit silly writing such a serious review for such a light-hearted attempt , which brings me to the headline: While i did go into the movie with reasonably high expectations, it soon became apparent that they were for naught and by the 15th minute i started to view it as a prolonged infomercial courtesy of Hbl and Cornetto (a courtesy that i was reminded of every 10 minutes or so). And to my surprise, i actually caught myself enjoying a few (emphasis on few) punchlines. Moti, the only character worth mentioning, and a few well-timed songs are two sole things standing in between this film and a 1-star review...at least in my humble opinion. Long story short 'best to lower your expectations going in'. Maybe even think of it as an over-budget amateur film instead of a short-budget mainstream one. Might save you the second-hand embarrassment.

after watching movie BOL, i truly through that Pakistan Film Industry can survive without GUJJAR Titled Movies, But after poor Production of WAR, yet another Poor Direction movie has emerged in Pakistan's Cinemas. I can bet that after watching first 15 minutes movie, anyone can tell that what the Movie story is? what it is about...poor Direction, Poor Dialogue, Poor Acting, Poor Script, After ending GUJJAR Titles Movies, now Pakistan FIlm Industry is ready to produce the third class movies. No Doubt Pakistan Drames are much more excellent than Movies. So Pakistan film Industry should stop wasting Time of People because there are so many other crises are there and People gets hurt after watching such kind of Third class movies. only Shoain Mansoor have courage and excellent sense of making films and it is my request to all producers and directors to stop making films on such kind of fools ideas, because it will not worth and will not survive for long time. Please stop making such kind of fool movies and please let shoaib mansoor make good movies Please
