(at around 18 mins) Bella, dressed only in her nightgown, leaves the kitchen while talking to Vernon. Seconds later she emerges in the hallway fully dressed, ready to go to work.
When Vernon's twin daughters first appear, he introduces then to Bella as Sinead and Niamh, but on the cast list in the closing credits they are named as Rhian and Amy.
Alfie has a habit of ringing Bella - On one such call, Vernon 'disconnects' the call by pressing the receiver button and releasing it, and proceeds to speak to Bella about Alfie while she is still holding the receiver. Alfie would still be connected if he made this call as before - only he can disconnect the call by replacing his receiver. However, if Vernon held the receiver button down then that would effectively temporarily mute the call. But he didn't.
Thunder is depicted as being heard simultaneously with its causative lightning flash, when realistically this seldom occurs because the speed of sound is very low compared to the speed of light. For example, even with a delay of half a second the lightning would have struck the ground only about 175 metres away, and the number of strikes would have resulted in major damage in Bella's neighbourhood (a distraction). The delay from cloud-to-cloud strikes is even greater.
When Bella first goes out to work on her garden she is dressed in black from head to foot, including netting over her face and neck, and rubber gloves. This would be consistent with her OCD / need for things to be correct. She has rolled up her sleeves, however, exposing most of her forearms to whatever contaminants she is trying to avoid. There is no logical reason for anyone to do this, particularly not someone like Bella.
