Saw this short film recently, it gave important insight into the place of religious identity in the modern world. It is a challenge to those who hold "cosy" and "comfortable" views about Jesus and certainly made me think about the loneliness of the long distance Messiah!
I was particularly impressed by the invitation to follow Jesus via Facebook or Twitter (very much a modern phenomenon) and wondered how non practicing Christians might relate to this idea of "virtual following", but it is true that many people get their religious observance via TV, radio or online experiences already.
It was particularly touching to see Jesus come home to a cooked meal of bread and fish fingers after a long day at work, and for him to turn water into wine before settling down to eat. Would the historical Jesus have done the same? Who knows.
